The Pokémon Trading Card Game Battle Academy 2022 is a Deck Kit for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. It was released on March 25, 2022.
Description
Join the Pokémon Trainers at the Battle Academy!
Prepare for a Pokémon battle with the ready-to-play Pokémon Trading Card Game Battle Academy! The Battle Academy includes everything two players need to play, with guides to the decks so your first game is easy to follow.
You can choose Cinderace or Pikachu to lead your team in a heads-up battle against another Trainer. Then, switch up the decks to play Eevee against Cinderace or Pikachu, and lead a different team of Pokémon into the arena! With a little strategy and a little luck, you can battle with the best!
Information
The Pokémon Trading Card Game Battle Academy is a beginner-friendly Deck Kit with three decks. Each deck comes with its own deck box, and the Cinderace and Pikachu decks have guides detailing how to use them, while the Eevee deck has an Advanced Rulebook. Additionally, a two-player playboard, status counters, an over-sized coin and a Pokémon Trading Card Game Live code card are included. The product is a sequel to 2020's Battle Academy.
All of the cards within the decks are reprints but have colored silhouettes of the main Pokémon at the bottom right of the card. Cards within the Cinderace and Pikachu decks also have a number next to the silhouette, so the decks can be numbered according to their guides; the Eevee deck has no guide and thus no numbers. Notably, several cards within the decks are from the Champion's Path expansion, which were only previously available from specifically set-themed products.
This product contains the exclusive SWSH Black Star Promos Galarian Obstagoon card.
