Court Change causes any active battle effects to swap sides. If Court Change would transfer an entry hazard to a Pokémon's side that would normally cause damage (i.e. Poison Spikes on a non-Poison-type Pokémon), it will not have any effect until a new Pokémon is switched out.

Court Change (Japanese: コートチェンジ Court Change) is a non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation VIII. It is one of the signature moves of Cinderace.

Effect

This move effect may be in need of research.
Reason: Check whether Court Change affects G-Max Volcalith.
You can discuss this on the talk page.

Court Change causes any active battle effects to swap sides. This affects barriers like Reflect, multi-turn effects like Tailwind, and entry hazards like Spikes. Court Change does not cause any Pokémon afflicted with a volatile or non-volatile status condition to pass that condition to another Pokémon, nor does it transfer any Pokémon's stat changes to any other Pokémon. Court Change has no effect on effects that affect the entire field (like weather, terrain, or Trick Room).

If both sides of the battle are affected by the same effect, but are each on different remaining turns, Court Change will swap both effects' remaining turns.

If Court Change transfers an entry hazard, it will not have any effect until a new Pokémon is switched in. If a Pokémon with Defiant or Competitive is then switched in onto a Sticky Web, the Speed drop happens as usual, but the Abilities will not activate. Other Abilities like Contrary will, however.

Court Change does not swap Quick Guard, Wide Guard, or Crafty Shield.

It is likely that Court Change would also swap Lucky Chant; however, the two moves have never appeared in a game together.
