Splintered Stormshards (Japanese: ラジアルエッジストーム Radial Edgestorm) is a damage-dealing Rock-type Z-Move introduced in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. It is the exclusive Z-Move of Lycanroc and a transformed version of its Stone Edge.

Effect

Splintered Stormshards inflicts damage and removes any terrain present on the battlefield.

Description

Games Description
USUM After obtaining Z-Power, the user, Lycanroc, attacks the target with full force. This move negates the effect on the battlefield.

Learnset

Any form of Lycanroc can use Splintered Stormshards if it knows Stone Edge, holds a Lycanium Z, and if its Trainer wears a Z-Power Ring.

Dusk Form Lycanroc
The user jumps up and shoots down shards of rocks onto the opponent.
Pokémon Method
User First Used In Notes
Dusk Form Lycanroc strikes a series of synchronized poses with its Trainer to build Z-Power. It then breaks the ground around it, causing shards of rocks to get thrown into the air and fly upwards. Dusk Form Lycanroc jumps up with the shards as they stop and then point towards the opponent, before Dusk Form Lycanroc and the shards shoot towards the opponent. Dusk Form Lycanroc lands on the ground behind the opponent as the shards strike them behind it.

Trivia

  • Splintered Stormshards is the only move that can remove terrain effects without creating a terrain effect itself.
  • While the move's properties remain the same, the animation for Splintered Stormshards changes based on the form of Lycanroc using it; with the apparent time of day during the animation matching the Lycanroc's form.
