Last Resort (Japanese: とっておき The Best) is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in Generation IV.

Effect

Generation IV

Last Resort inflicts damage and has no secondary effect. However, it cannot be used until all other moves that the user knows have been fully executed, at least once, during the battle.

This counter resets if the user switches out or faints. Last Resort will fail if it is the only move the user knows.

Generation V

Last Resort's Power is increased from 130 to 140.

Mystery Dungeon

Last Resort will fail if the user does not have at least one move with no PP. The more moves with no PP, the more powerful it becomes.

Description

Games Description
DPPtHGSSBW This move can be used only after the user has used all the other moves it knows in the battle.
PMDTDS Inflicts damage on the target, but it won't hit unless the user has a move with 0 PP remaining.
