Gen II sprites
The player of Gold or Silver is always Gold. Thusly, we use the Gold sprite. Besides, who says we used whichever sprite was "closer to Crystal"? -- MAGNEDETH 03:34, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
- But it's more accurate to use the sprite closer to Crystal, because then, we have 2 of the same sprites for Gen. II games, and only 1 from the other. Therefore, similarity should come first. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 14:34, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
- or we could do it uniformally, like a wiki, which this is one. besides, making based in similarities puts the job too close to a judgment call on the user's part, meaning an argument will inevitably break out. moreover, some Pokemon, like Magnemite dont base their Crystal sprites on neither their Gold nor Silver sprite. thusly, we are back at square one with judgment calls, and edit wars. -- MAGNEDETH 20:18, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
- Fine. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 00:48, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

Why?????
Why do you keep making it like that? tc26 14:28, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
- Why do you hate the Platinum sprites? --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 14:29, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
- I don't. It just doesn't apply. Those were given away in another game. NOT PLATINUM! tc26 14:29, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
- If we were doing it like that, the Gym Leaders would still have the Gen. I sprites for their Gen. I battle data. But they don't. So we don't have to be as strict with the event template. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 14:31, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, they do. Get used to it! tc26 14:33, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

But TTE and Moldy orange both said that the most-updated sprites should be used at all times, and they're admins. And I agree with them. That's 3 (me, TTE, and Moldy orange) against 2 (Tc26 and Gywall), and as I said, my side has 2 admins. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 14:45, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Gosh, Baby G. Why are you so fixated with keeping the warning there? You kept that warning in the first place just because I removed another comment. Now that comment is back, but you still want to keep the warning. And you act like you have the power to block me. Jmath 14:48, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

You know, there is something called "The Bulbagarden Forums." I don't think you've been there, but over there, we've decided to leave Mismaquaza, Venustoise, and the Toxicroak out...it is causing disputes.--☆Tavisource 02:40, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

Hey you read the thing about Misraquaza and Venustoise and Toxicroak, right? Cause a while back, you had put them back on the list; they don't belong anymore. Back at the forums, everone's been making a big fuss about it.--☆Tavisource 17:22, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

Non-Shiny Toxicroak sprite
- Now, compare images one and three. Do they look similar in colour? I think so. Then, compare images one and two. Do they look similar in colour? No. --Chocolate (talk to me) 17:32, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
- Finished Hitmonlee. There has been other Toxicorak in the anime and they all are the same color, so that either proves that they are ALL NOT shiny, or that they are ALL shiny, which WE (everyone who participated at the forums) doubt.--☆Tavisource 17:36, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

- They look similar to me. --Chocolate (talk to me) 17:39, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
- Exactly! That little sprite is NOT shiny, and it looks similar to the picture YOU had, which means that they had altered the color in the anime as they had for Ash's Cyndaquil. Think about that. Hold on, I'll gotta go, I'll be back at 18:00 UTC.--☆Tavisource 17:42, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
- So basically, Toxicroak is not shiny, but its anime colour is considered the common colour for the anime? --Chocolate (talk to me) 17:43, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

All right. I guess it's sorta similar to how Gligar is pink in the anime when it's purple in the games. --Chocolate (talk to me) 17:47, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, exactly!--☆Tavisource 18:17, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
- Then, how 'bout this: We could also create a sprite of a pink Gligar, and use it on the page on any anime trainer that has/had a Gligar. Gligar is pink in the anime even though it's purple in the games, so we could make a shout-out to the anime by making a sprite of Gligar with its anime colour. What do you guys think? --Chocolate 21:25, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
Swellow
Yeah, still nothing. It's bigger, that much is true. But there is still no Ash. Is it the right picture? --PsychicRider☮ 20:59, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
Just wondering...
You know how you have Pokémon sprites at the bottom of your user page? Why do you have Ken sugimori's picture of Mamoswine instead of a Mamoswine sprite? Is that a mistake? Because all the others are sprites. So if it was a mistake, I jsut wanted to let you know, if you did that on purpose, then never mind.--☆Tavisource 22:02, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

If we can't make different colour sprites for Pokémon, I might leave the custom sprite project.Okay, I'm not gonna leave the project, but I really think we should create sprites of Pokémon with their anime colours. As I said, it would be more consistent with the anime. If we don't make sprites of Pokémon that naturally have different colours in the anime, we'd have to get rid of the other different-colour anime Pokémon, 'cause it wouldn't be fair. So, I made a pink Gligar. What do you think of it? Chocolate 21:25, 25 October 2008 (UTC)

Policy?
Hey. Where did you hear that trivia is only bulleted if there are multiple items? Is that in writing anywhere? --ニョロトノ666 01:08, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- I saw it like that on several other pages in the past. Plus, the bullets are used to list pieces, but with only one piece of trivia, there isn't much need for a bullet. Chocolate 01:09, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- I don't recall anything in policy stating that trivia sections with only one item must go without a bullet. As far as I know, single-piece trivia sections with a bullet are found on many pages on many MediaWiki-based wikis, even on Wikipedia. Making edits saying "trivia sections with only one piece of trivia can't have a bullet" is basically trying to enforce a rule that does not exist. --Shiningpikablu252 01:55, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- Which sadly, you have done on multiple occasions. Remember the "Three revert rule" you tried to enforce at me on the archives? yeah, that doesn't exist either. And I know Mags can name another occasion which was directed at him. MaverickNate 02:03, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- indeed he has, i cant cite anything off the top of my head, but i can confirm it. also, i think this bullet thing should be added somewhere. i support it. -- MAGNEDETH 02:17, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
- Pikablu: But as I said, bullets are used for listing stuff seperately. If there's only one thing mentioned in a trivia section, the bullet has little use.
- Mav: The 3RR exists on Wikipedia, and I think it'd be useful here, since it would help prevent edits wars.
- MAGNEDETH: Do you support using a bullet or not using a bullet for just one piece of trivia? Chocolate 20:29, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

I edited that factoid out of the page because it is no longer true, unless a different meaning of form is meant. Rotom's different forms all learn different moves, or at least one different move each. Quadropheneom 03:58, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

I demand you stay
Look. Your edits have increased in quality tremendously since you came here. And you've worked hard to contribute to important things on here. I know you're not going to throw that all away just because of a single incident that doesn't even concern you. And while you call Kuki's block "abuse of power," it's exactly the opposite. Abuse of power is taking control into your own hands and dishing out trouble by way of authority. What MAGNEDETH did in blocking Kuki was exactly the opposite. You do know why Kuki was blocked, don't you? His mom asked for it. Bending to the whims of a third party isn't abuse of power; it's being passively manipulated, and it's ridiculous. I'm going to have a talk with the other powers involved in this and see if I can't get Kuki unblocked, so why don't you stick around? :D --ニョロトノ666 21:36, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
