Steadfast (Japanese: ふくつのこころ Indomitable Heart) is an Ability introduced in Generation IV.
Steadfast increases the Pokémon's Speed stat by one stage whenever it flinches. The Speed boost will only apply if the flinching message is displayed.
Outside of battle
Steadfast has no effect outside of battle.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series
Steadfast will raise the Pokémon's Movement Speed by one stage when it is cross-eyed or cringing.
In Pokémon UNITE, Steadfast is Lucario's Ability. When the user is at low HP, it gets a shield and increased movement speed.
In the manga
- Sapphire's Gallade, Kirly, was revealed to have Steadfast as his Ability in the PokéSPedia data-book.
- Henry's Sirfetch'd, Lancelot, and Darach's Gallade were revealed to have Steadfast as their Ability.
