Amnesia (Japanese: ドわすれ Memory Lapse) is a non-damaging Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I.

Effect

Generation I

Amnesia increases the user's Special by 2 levels.

Amnesia will do nothing if the user's special has reached a level of +6 or a value of 999. The effect of Amnesia is ignored by critical hits.

Generation II and on

Raises the user's Special Defense instead.
