The non-HD image for this article has been revealed. How can it be placed on this article? (It has already been uploaded.) ?????? 18:05, 7 April 2014 (UTC)

It has to be uploaded over a:File:XY024.png. Pikachu Bros. (talk) 18:10, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
The low quality is already on the page, unless that's not what you meant. Looking at the history, the image is the same one I uploaded a few days ago, so it appears that nothing has been uploaded.--Pokemaster97 18:11, 7 April 2014 (UTC)

There's a better picture here. Also, a link explaining that it was canceled due to the Korean ship that sunk recently would be nice. Dada (talk) 15:54, 21 April 2014 (UTC)

We probably shouldn't just steal that website's pictures. Pikachu Bros. (talk) 15:56, 21 April 2014 (UTC)
We don't have any confirmation that the Korean ship accident is the reason that this episode was postponed. We shouldn't add anything about that until it's official. --Pokemaster97 16:37, 21 April 2014 (UTC)
Did we ever get official confirmation that the BW episodes were banned due to the earthquake, or is it just something we knew? --The Great Butler (talk) 07:11, 22 April 2014 (UTC)
It's not "that website's" picture, it's an image uploader website. Dada (talk) 12:00, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
We should add that—although no reason was explicitly specified—the cancelation occurred directly after a large incident in which a ship sank and about 200 people drowned, for an episode that was about exploring an underwater ship. It was never specified why it was canceled, but...yeah. That's the reason. I can't see any reason for why we can't add the obvious link between the two. This website is not limited to just "things GF/Pokémon/Nintendo says". Dada (talk) 12:00, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
It may be obvious why it was cancelled, but a staff member said we shouldn't. Pikachu Bros. (talk) 13:17, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
Even so, it contradicts what we did back then for the Team Plasma two-parter. Both them and this have been officially stated to be postponed just due to the circumstances. The Whiscash episode page states that it was postponed because of the Niigata earthquakes without providing any official statement as well. I thing we should mention the Korean accident somewhere. --Gabo 2oo (talk) 19:54, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
We have a source for the fact that it was due to the sinking of that ship now, but um, I just wanted to add that just because Pokemaster97 is a staff member doesn't mean he's always right on everything. Bye Dada (talk) 11:53, 13 August 2014 (UTC)

Can this page be redirected to 'XY024 (unaired)' out of respect, please?

Just asking... ~~LDEJRuff~~ 16:00, 21 April, 2014 (UTC)

I'd like to discuss with Kenji-girl and the other staff before making any final decisions about what to do with the naming of the article. --Pokemaster97 20:12, 21 April 2014 (UTC)
Pokémaster97 is right, we can't just start moving pages around at random as it will cause more problems later. --HoennMaster 20:25, 21 April 2014 (UTC)
Okay, take your time. ~~LDEJRuff~~ 17:19, 21 April, 2014 (UTC)

june19apihd8jl26.png --Altruis でんき 13:05, 30 April 2014 (UTC)

You make the assumption that episode 24 doesn't refer to XY025. Since the episode has been skipped, I would expect the numbering to be adjusted. --SnorlaxMonster 05:04, 1 May 2014 (UTC)

When is this episode going to air?

Is this episode gonna air anytime soon, or can we go ahead and mark this episode as "cancelled"? I can't shake the feeling that they will eventually retcon this episode out of continuity like what they did with the Team Rocket Vs. Team Plasma special from the Best Wishes saga. --PKMNAdventurer (talk) 05:19, 14 June 2014 (UTC)

Note that another episode affected by the same disaster was later aired a couple month later. There is no reason to say that they have cancelled it. --Abcboy (talk) 05:54, 14 June 2014 (UTC)
While it was initially listed on Turner, Zap and Msn Tv, the episode title was later replaced with XY025's, hinting at the postponement of the episode. Will it ever air / has it been cancelled? We don't know for sure. CITV is also skipping the episode. AdynizWanna talk? 11:38, 14 June 2014 (UTC)

Article title

This is no longer episode 24 of the XY series. It is either never going to air (like BW023 (unaired)), aired in a different place in the series (like BW037), or air as a special (like Holiday Hi-Jynx). In none of these cases is it appropriate to call this episode XY024. My personal preference is to just move it to the episode title, since we have the English title; however, I would be open to moving it to XY024 (unaired) as well. --SnorlaxMonster 11:59, 13 August 2014 (UTC)

I second this notion, based on the current re-numbering that they did with the remaining episodes and that if it does air it will be a special or a different number later on. G50 12:10, 13 August 2014 (UTC)
I'm not against this page being moved, but it seems that the episode has already aired in Korea. --超龍Chao 13:41, 13 August 2014 (UTC)
Correct. But there's nothing know regarding the placement at this point. It could remain as XY024, but it could also be retconned in the current stream of episodes like what happened to BW037. I think it's best to keep this page at its current position at the moment, and as soon as we know more, we can act accordingly. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 15:46, 13 August 2014 (UTC)
Yeah Chao, I noticed that shortly after posting this. I think it would be ideal to sort that situation out first. --SnorlaxMonster 16:05, 13 August 2014 (UTC)
I don't know if anyone heard, but this episode has been aired in South Korea. I think the title should still be XY034. --リック EO (Open for discussion) 07:40, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
We're aware of that. Since it aired after XY023, I think it's safe to say it's still XY024... but perhaps it's better to wait for more proof it's actually still in the same spot it originally was. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 09:01, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
All this time I was very convinced in that it was a preety bad idea and odd move to keep this as XY024, considering what happened for BW037. However, since this aired in South Korea, I completely changed my opinion. Now I agree in that we should keep it as XY024 for now, as long as we assume that we're definetly going to reorder all of the following episodes if there's a need to do so, even if there's 100 of them. I suggest that a reordering should be done only if this episode airs retconed in Japan, much like BW037 did. If that's the case, then we would have two versions of the episode known, so the original "XY024" version from Korea should be mentioned in the new, retconed "XYxxx" episode article. I hope I'm being clear enough... If the XY series ends and this episode remains unaired outside of Korea, I suggest we should treat it like AG101 (unaired), and move it to "An Undersea Place to Call Home!", treating it as an episode that's only canon in Korea. Long story short, I believe the fate of this article depends on its airing in Japan. But since we still don't know about said airing, it depends on the Korean airing (and thus, it stays as XY024) for now only. --Gabo 2oo (talk) 20:15, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
If South Korea aired this episode, I don't see why Japan would keep it banned. I say we should wait and see how Japan treats the episode before we start moving things around. --HoennMaster 23:14, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
Agreed, it's much to early to be moving things around when there's a risk that we'll just have to re-move it all over again later. --Pokemaster97 01:55, 15 August 2014 (UTC)

So was this episode a filler?? I'm guessing it is due to there being nothing in the important events section but I just want to make sure...RBK (talk) 01:20, 1 September 2014 (UTC)

Well of course the section is blank: we don't know what happens in the episode because nobody's seen it. Though I'd say it's safe to assume this was a filler episode considering there seem to be no unexplained changes in the episodes following it. TheFatPanda (talk) 23:56, 25 September 2014 (UTC)

Oh, well when I made that post I was under the impression that it had aired in Korea which is why I asked.RBK (talk) 00:27, 26 September 2014 (UTC)

So, wait...

Why are we now doubting whether it actually aired in South Korea? - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 00:30, 26 September 2014 (UTC)

To quote the edit summary: "Dogasu said it perfectly, are we seriously going to take the word of a singe Korean Twitter user as official? Those images could have been easily doctored. So to please everyone, I edited it so it was unconfirmed officially." Personally, if the images in the episode match the images on the account, then I would say that it is evidence that it did somehow air in South Korea. --Super goku (talk) 06:07, 26 September 2014 (UTC)

Since we still can't confirm the South Korean airing and the Japanese airing is now confirmed, I think we need to move this episode and renumber the rest. - unsigned comment from The Great Butler (talkcontribs)

  2. We will need to ask someone that's an admin or higher before we do any renumbering. --リックEO (My message board) 02:41, 26 September 2014 (UTC)
Bumping. I would like to wait until after airing to make sure it's officially retconned like BW037 was. And if it is, and someone can confirm it quickly, then the move can happen. Pretty sure it will be but I want to be safe. --ケンジガール 07:23, 31 October 2014 (UTC)
So it's been over a month since the airing, i'm going to assume that since it hasn't been moved no major changes were made to the episode and we don't need to renumber it? --HoennMaster 10:38, 4 January 2015 (UTC)

I think this episode won't air in the international version at all. Japan and Thailand aired this episode now, but the dub won't show it due to it being banned, it makes me so mad right now. What should we do? Pikachu65 09:35, 23 January 2015 (UTC)

Re-Number This Episode To XY051 Already!

It's been confirmed that XY024 will be airing after XY050 in English Dub, which was the same order it was aired in Japan. The exact same thing happened with the now BW037, so I think it's time someone finally re-numbered the episode. There's no more excuses. This episode IS essentially XY051. Keeping it XY024 will only confuse the readers. - unsigned comment from Bellsprout (talkcontribs)

And the fact that Fletchinder has magically devolved back into Fletchling wouldn't confuse people? BW037 was different since it retconned its continuity errors so it fit within the timeline, this didn't and I still think it shouldn't be moved to xy051 just because it's been aired after xy050. Continuity > Airdate ps: Sign your comments Azure/ChromeVoid42 (talk) 20:29, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
It is not the exact same thing that happened with BW037. As Azure42 said above, they edited that episode to fit the timeline. That is not the case here, since the episode had no edits (besides opening and ending). The summary still says: "Prior to Ash's Cyllage City Gym Battle, the gang has an aquatic adventure on the Muraille Coast with undersea Pokémon." Therefore, I don't have a problem if it is left as XY024. AdynizWanna talk? 03:02, 24 January 2015 (UTC)
This is similar to the Holiday Hi-Jynx and Snow Way Out. Both aired later than usual, but are not retconned. Holiday Hi-Jynx and Snow Way Out had been airing no tv, released on dvd and yet still does not received any episode code on the wiki (either out of order or their original order). why is this episode so different then? the wiki should come out with a solution for all three of these episodes IMO. -Pokeant (talk) 01:23, 22 August 2015 (UTC)
On another note, Princess vs Princess and The Purr-fect Hero both received episode code in their new order rather than the original order since that is the way they are arranged in the anime rerun and dvds and yet Holiday Hi-Jynx and Snow Way Out does not. This episode had not been released on dvd or had a rerun on japanese tv yet, so we still don't know the new order for this episode -Pokeant (talk) 01:26, 22 August 2015 (UTC)
This episode just had a rerun this month on Pokémon Get☆TV. The previous one was the Amaurus episode, while the next one is the Cyllage Gym episode. Going by that, they are sticking to the original order. --超龍Chao 02:33, 22 August 2015 (UTC)

Forgive my ignorance but, why did the sinking of the South Korean Ferry effect when this episode aired?--Benayla (talk) 00:16, 13 August 2016 (UTC)

Because the episode featured a sunken ship and it would've been too soon had they aired it on the original airdate.--ForceFire 03:26, 13 August 2016 (UTC)
