This card was released as one of the SM Black Star Promos and was included in special 2-card Detective Pikachu booster packs given away with the purchase of a ticket for POKÉMON Detective Pikachu at participating cinemas upon its release. These packs contained 1 guaranteed copy of this card and 1 random card from the Detective Pikachu subset. In the United Kingdom, these packs were given away with the purchase of tickets for 3D screenings at participating Odeon and Cineworld cinemas on May 10, 11, and 12, 2019, and, it was also released as a pre-order bonus with copies of the DVD. In Japan, it was included in the Detective Pikachu Special Jumbo Card Pack: Mewtwo-GX Version as a Mirror Holofoil SM-P Promotional card. This print features the Japanese movie logo in the bottom left corner of the artwork.
