Roar of Time (Japanese: ときのほうこう Roar of Time) is a damage-dealing Dragon-type move introduced in Generation IV. It is the signature move of Dialga.

Effect

Roar of Time inflicts damage and then forces the user to recharge during the next turn. Unless the move fails due to missing, type immunity, or is blocked by a protection move, the user will always have to recharge the next turn.

Generation VIII

In Versions 1.0 to 1.2.1 of Pokémon Sword and Shield, Roar of Time could not be selected in a battle. Starting with Version 1.3.0, it is usable and functions the same as it did in previous generations.

In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, it can be selected and functions as it did in previous generations.

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Roar of Time's base power and accuracy vary with Dialga's Formes. It has a base power of 120 and an accuracy of 90 when used by Dialga's default forme, and base power of 140 and accuracy of 75 when used by Origin Forme Dialga alongside a unique animation. It also lowers the user's action priority.
