Revision as of 17:40, 30 December 2013 by GamerGeek(talk | contribs)(Well, I've needed to contribute a decently-sized article for the longest time, and since there's no opposition on Mars's talk page, I thought I'd give this a shot. Please leave any feedback you may have on my talk page!)
Purugly's first appearance was alongside Mars in Losing Its Lustrous! as she was destroying the Celestic Ruins to create a distraction so that Saturn could steal the Lustrous Orb. Purugly made a more significant appearance in the next episode, in which it battled Ash, Dawn and Cynthia for the orb and proved itself to be very powerful.
Purugly is the third Pokémon seen on Mars's team. Despite its large build, Purugly is a powerful battler than can hold its own in battles (although it can be comically be seen struggling trying to climb up a small step at one point). It was used to cut the windmill that Mars had stolen so that they can use it to fly away. She later used Purugly to battle Diamond. It easily defeated his Drifblim. It also battled Crasher Wake and Gardenia's Pokémon on the Spear Pillar. It was last seen lying next to its master, defeated.
Purugly is Mars's main Pokémon. It was first used in a Tag Battle against Jun and Hareta. Mars gained the upper hand when it turned out the power. However, Shinx's Spark put the power back on which threw Purugly off guard, defeating it. Purugly then appeared in Deoxys, The Phantom Pokémon! (Part 2), in which it was easily defeated by Deoxys.
Mars's Purugly Cards listed with a blue background are only legal to use in the current Expanded format. Cards listed with a green background are legal to use in both the current Standard and Expanded formats.
