Moved Nando

I moved Nando up to rivals. If we're includeing Solidad (Who only appeared during the Kanto grand festival) Nando deserves to be up there. He's been in various episodes and both ash and dawn, as well as zoey to some extent seem to veiw him as a freindly rival. Lego3400 18:04, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Your edit put Nando out of order compared with the others in that category. You put Nando, who debuted in DP004, after Zoey, who debuted seven episodes later. He's more of a gag than anything. He always appears unannounced and for a very short period, and always tries to con someone (usually James). Roark a supporting character?

So people. Anyone here think Roark should be added in supporting characters? His trivia does say that he's appeared in more episodes than any other Gym Leader, save for Misty, Brock, and Giovanni. What do you think? Six episodes enough? --ケンジのガール 13:16, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

2 supporting characters sections?

Perhaps, "Recurring characters" and "Supporting characters"? Given that within the individual episodes they all have roughly equivalent status its just that some turn up way more often. I don't think a split is required. The table groups everyone into protagonists (Ash's friends), antagonists (people trying to steal from or kill Ash's friends), rivals (people that Ash and his friends fight on a recurring basis), and everyone else. The antagonists and rivals often have arcs dedicated to them. Now, the reason Oak has appeared in more episodes is because he's been around since the very beginning, like Nurse Joy. She appears quite often (or did when I watched the anime), yet is at the same level as Rhonda because they aren't as important to the plot as a whole (important to small aspects, but not the overarching plot). tl;dr? Oak goes with everyone else because even though he's been around since the beginning, he's really only as important as Rhonda, Scott, and Looker. —darklordtrom 01:47, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
