The Vista Lighthouse (Japanese: シルベの灯台 Guidance Lighthouse) is a location in Sunyshore City, Sinnoh.

This lighthouse consists of an elevator and an observation deck. The player can see the Sinnoh Pokémon League building if they look into the binoculars at the observation deck. This is where the player will first meet Volkner.

Looking at the Pokémon League from the Vista Lighthouse

The Vista Lighthouse is located on the far south east side of Sunyshore City. It was built to help guide ships and boats into Sunyshore's port, representing safety and protection to all Sailors.

The lighthouse was built on a large rocky cliff face right beside the sea. Despite its size, it has only one floor that can be publicly accessed by people, the top floor, which is only accessible by a large elevator. Once on the top floor, people can see the views and even use the binoculars to see far and wide, even the Pokémon League building towering over a great waterfall. There are also seats where people can have a rest and take a break. Volkner can be initially found here and needs to be talked to before he'll return to the Sunyshore Gym.

The anime-exclusive Sunyshore Tower serves a similar purpose as the Vista Lighthouse in the games, with Ash first meeting Volkner there and finding him unwilling to take on challengers. The tower's solar panels are used to provide electricity for machinery around Sunyshore City.

Diamond & Pearl chapter

The Vista Lighthouse first appeared in Encountering Elekid, where it had been darkened by the blackout plaguing Sunyshore City, causing potential trouble for the ships in the area. The Valley Windworks manager, who had been called in to investigate the blackout, eventually tracked the source of the problem to the Sunyshore Gym, where Volkner's renovations had caused the Gym to drain all the electricity in the city.

Platinum chapter

The lighthouse briefly reappeared in The Final Dimensional Duel XI.
