Welcome to Bulbapedia, Gian9456!
Bulbapedia bulb.png

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Genders

Just FYI, Gender differences are not a valid way of determining gender for Pokémon that were introduced in the anime before DP001 that have not evolved since. Werdnae (talk) 07:00, 20 February 2011 (UTC)

Please stop adding genders to those pages. None of them were ever confirmed. Thank you. --ケンジガール 07:05, 20 February 2011 (UTC)
This is your final warning. Please do not add unconfirmed genders. I will have to give you a short block if you do not stop. --ケンジガール 07:10, 20 February 2011 (UTC)
Please stop adding genders. I'm going to have to tell Kenji your still doing this. --Pokemaster97 19:05, 20 February 2011 (UTC)

Final warning #2

So the first thing you do after your block is do what got you blocked in the first place? The next block will be longer if you don't stop. Do not add genders to anime Pokémon unless they are confirmed through dialogue. Werdnae (talk) 04:37, 23 February 2011 (UTC)

Signature

Please sign your posts using four tildes (~~~~), or using button_sig.png. Thanks! --It's Funktastic~! (talk) 17:28, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

Powerhouse

Please, stop it. You keep spamming all this powerhouse talk on talk pages. It's not needed and all you're doing is spamming. Please stop or action will have to taken. Ataro (talk) 17:39, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

You're doing it again. Please don't spam the talk pages, or you will be given a temporary block by the higher staff members. Also, is their really a need to note if their powerhouses or not? What you have wrote are mostly speculations. --超龍Chao 19:05, 3 September 2012 (UTC)
Again, please don't add who is a powerhouse as it is considered speculation and opinion. This is your final warning.--ForceFire 04:19, 4 September 2012 (UTC)

Three months block

Hello. You have been blocked for three months for ignoring warnings to stop posting opinions on who is a powerhouse. And because of your past history, I have decided to give you the extra months. During your block I want you to think carefully about why you have been blocked and learn how to stop and engage in a discussion instead of going from one talk page to another doing the same thing over and over. Also, can you please make sure your comments are readable with proper grammar and spelling, and make them short as possible as they are really difficult to understand to the point where it just looks like spam. I hope you will have changed once you've come back. Thank you.--ForceFire 06:09, 4 September 2012 (UTC)

Signature

Your signature must contain a link to your user page or your talk page, per the signature policy. Please fix your sig so it complies. Thanks. Tiddlywinks (talk) 03:55, 16 June 2020 (UTC)

How do i sign - unsigned comment from Gian9456 (talkcontribs)
You can read the link I gave above for more information, but it's just four tildes: ~~~~. You can also find this in the "character palette" below the summary text box, or the second to last button above the large text box where you actually edit. Tiddlywinks (talk) 23:02, 16 June 2020 (UTC)
I'll repeat it again: it's supposed to be four (4) tildes, like this: ~~~~. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:01, 17 June 2020 (UTC)
like this? - unsigned comment from Gian9456 (talkcontribs)
Incorrect. Where are you editing from?--KnightGalarie (talk) 00:04, 17 June 2020 (UTC)
Type it like THIS: ~~~~. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:20, 17 June 2020 (UTC)

(resetting indent)If you are currently using ~~~~ for your signature, then it is apparent that you have customized your signature to remove its links. Let me suggest that you just undo your customization so your sig returns to its default. If you select preferences at the top of the page, you should be able to clear the text box in the signature section to make it return to the default. Tiddlywinks (talk) 01:21, 17 June 2020 (UTC)

Well? Did you customize your signature? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:07, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
It is extremely important that you re-add the links to your signature, otherwise it'll look like you manually typed the whole signature in. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:19, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
You're no longer using four tildes for your signature. Did you customize your signature at all? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:26, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
What are you even doing with your signature now? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:36, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
Hello? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 06:13, 24 June 2020 (UTC)
It's extremely important that you acknowledge this issue right away! GrammarFreak01 (talk) 23:41, 27 June 2020 (UTC)
Please respond in some form or manner. You really need to fix your signature. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 02:08, 6 July 2020 (UTC)
Your signature's still faulty. Are you going to do something about it? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 23:57, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
Will you please respond? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 23:48, 30 July 2020 (UTC)
I did put sign --Gian9456 23:49, 30 July 2020 (UTC)
But it doesn't link to your userpage and your talk page like any normal signature would do. You need to fix it. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 23:53, 30 July 2020 (UTC)
How --Gian9456 23:56, 30 July 2020 (UTC)
Tiddlywinks already explained how to you. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:01, 31 July 2020 (UTC)

Personality and characteristic sections

Typically, you don't have to ask whether a certain personality trait for a Pokémon is appropriate or not on a talk page. You can just add it right away to the section and let other users proofread if needs be. If a user removes that edit, then that's when you can use the talk page. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:26, 17 June 2020 (UTC)

Spamming

Please don't spam talk pages with the same message over and over, it is not constructive. If you want your edit to be reviewed, wait for someone to respond and tell you how it can be improved. Thank you.--ForceFire 06:00, 17 June 2020 (UTC)

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Thanks! --Mr. Daikon (talk) 00:25, 23 June 2020 (UTC)

Suggestion

Hey, please don't make unnecessary talk page edits like this again. If you have something to address about the article, either start a new discussion topic on that article's discussion page, or reach out to a staff member directly. AdilTalk page 22:52, 28 July 2020 (UTC)

Sorry i saw it was Venomoth not beedrill didn't think was bad to edit.--Gian9456 22:57, 28 July 2020 (UTC)

It has less to do about the result of the edit, but the use of edit summary. AdilTalk page 23:00, 28 July 2020 (UTC)

Removing talk page comments

Talk page comments are not meant to be removed, even if there is an error in what you wrote. Thank you. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 04:54, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

Signing your comments

Please sign your comments with four tildes (~). The tilde key is located to the left of the "1" key and above the tab key. I highly doubt you are using a custom signature, and it is more likely that you are simply not signing. You must sign your comments so users know who left a message. Do not continuously ignore you talk page messages asking you to sign. If you really want to be a good contributor, like you said you would be, then I suggest taking your talk page comments seriously and properly signing your comments as the first step. Thank you.--ForceFire 06:15, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

Different signature

Hi. I see that you're having trouble with signatures. Can I help you with that? AdilTalk page 00:06, 6 August 2020 (UTC)

Using signatures incorrectly, despite many many messages informing you of the correct way, leaves a very bad impression. I'm asking this one last time, if you need help with understanding how to use signatures properly, please let the staff know. Continuous failure to comply with the signature policy may result in a block in future. I'd advise you to not ignore this message. AdilTalk page 08:34, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
I don't see what im doing wrong --G--Gian9456 22:00, 9 August 2020 (UTC)ian9456 03:01, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
You are not signing your comments. Firstly, how are you signing your comments? (if you even are signing your comments).--ForceFire 06:07, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
To clarify, your signature doesn't have the required links to your userpage and talk page, which indicates you're manually typing them in. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 06:19, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
Hi Gian9456. Try to do this, if you are unsure about what you are doing wrong:
  • Open Special:Preferences and scroll down to the section named Signature.
  • There, in the text box named 'New signature', paste "[[User:Gian9456|Gian9456]] — [[User talk:Gian9456|Talk page]]" (without the quotation marks) and click on the check mark that says Treat the above as wikicode (if it is already checked, then leave it as it is). Once that is done, click on save button at the bottom of the page and your signature should now be okay.
  • To use the new signature correctly, whenever you write a message on any talk page (whether user's or an article's), you must write four tildes "~~~~" at the end of your comment. The tilde character can usually be found on keyboard before the numeric key '1'. You can also click the "your signature with a timestamp" button ( ) on the editing toolbar (just above the editing window). If you have any other question, please ask. AdilTalk page 09:18, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
I don't know why i cant do it properly wish thier was video on youtube Gian9456 17:21, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
Adil posted a very clear, step by step instruction on what to do. Honestly, it's coming off as you refusing to co-operate with staff when asked to do something very simply. And you still haven't answered my question, how are you signing your comments?--ForceFire 11:49, 9 August 2020 (UTC)
I'm trying that way but still not becoming blue. is thier video --GIan9456
You have to put the date and time when you posted the comment(as I put it at the end of this comment). The exact time is at the top of the page. It stands before your nickname on the site, to make it easier, leave a favorite page with the correct formatting, then copy and paste and then you just update the information.

And try to improve your writing a little. If you are not American, try to train before making sure you put it in the right way.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 14:51, 08 August 2020 (UTC)

(resetting indent)There is no video. Adil's instruction are very easy to follow. And you still haven't answered my question. How are you signing?--ForceFire 14:58, 9 August 2020 (UTC)

I click sign button on top of the large box--GIan9456--Gian9456 15:06, 9 August 2020 (UTC)
Did i do it ok--GIan9456
No, it's still not formatting correctly. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:59, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
Please ignore GrammarFreak01. Your signature is perfectly fine now. It looks like you've sorted it out now. --SnorlaxMonster 05:02, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
Just make sure to use 4 tildes (~~~~), not 3. If you use 3, the timestamp won't appear. --SnorlaxMonster 05:04, 10 August 2020 (UTC)

Grammar

Hey, please stop adding information with horrible grammar. Somebody always has to come in and fix or remove your mistakes and it’s getting old.--Pikablu (talk) 22:08, 9 August 2020 (UTC)

sorry. I can't help it. It's quite a problem I have.--GIan9456--Gian9456 22:11, 9 August 2020 (UTC)

Not being good at the language is fine. It’s forcing everyone else to clean up after you that is the problem.--Pikablu (talk) 22:20, 9 August 2020 (UTC)

Hi

I think you must still be young, so you're still learning a few things. Bulbapedia's website uses some concepts of website page formatting. You can create a page for you to write and train.

  • Here, you can write some things and make changes without anyone moving.

https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/User:Gian9456

For a page, you can do this ... User:Gian9456/(Here you put the theme you want to write)

Use both brackets. One at the end, and one at the beginning.

  • Your signature should look like this...

--Gian9456 (talk) 14:51, 08 August 2020 (UTC)<-----(Here you put the date and time you posted).Save this post, and just copy and paste from now on

  • Whenever you start a discussion, a topic or something you should create a title. Then you use it here.

=9=Discussion with Gian=9=(remove number nine)

  • Then it generates something like I did up there. On some empty pages, you click on the + button that it already generates a specific field for this. But I recommend you do it manually to get the hang of it.

Take a look at the rules and topics on the first page, there are some tips that can help you. https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Bulbapedia:FAQ https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Bulbapedia:Manual_of_style

  • You seem to have difficulty with English, either trained with an application on your phone or always use the preview button to see if the text is well formatted. Take a look at random pages and see how they look and are based on them.

If you have any questions, you can contact me here.

--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 14:51, 10 August 2020 (UTC)

thank u (--Gian9456 01:04, 12 August 2020 (UTC))

Moves

Please do not add Steel Wing again and give this a read. Thank you. AdilTalk page 14:30, 20 September 2020 (UTC)

Signature policy, once again

Please, please, please sign your posts. I and other users have already told you how in the past. Just type in four tildes (~) to do the job. Thank you. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 08:45, 14 December 2020 (UTC) (Gian9456 01:33, 15 December 2020 (UTC))

But I know you said its not important but I need to know. Its my weird ways sorry to learning. Chuck is fat but he shown to have very little muccel but his body isn't like Karte Master that looks incredibly Muscular. (Gian9456 01:35, 15 December 2020 (UTC))

Signing (Again)

Do not manually add your signature. Use four tildes (~~~~) to automatically generate a signature with the correct time stamp. Landfish7 22:46, 16 July 2022 (UTC)

Please review the signature policy. If you are using a custom signature within your preferences, it must contain a link to either your user page or your talk page. If you are manually creating your signature, please stop. Just use the signature button or type four tildes. Please show that you are actually reading your talk page by adjusting your behavior accordingly. Thank you. Landfish7 01:35, 19 July 2022 (UTC)

Edit conflict

Please do not immediately add content back in after it has been removed by another user, as this can be seen as edit warring. Instead, take it to the talk page or bring it up with the user who reverted you. Your edit was likely reverted due to being redundant, unnecessary, and of poor quality. You can avoid this by not adding information that is already mentioned and by previewing your edits to make sure they meet Bulbapedia's standards before publishing them. Thank you. Landfish7 23:03, 31 August 2022 (UTC)

But not getting reason why it was deleted. Why did you not like it. What is the issues. - unsigned comment from Gian9456 (talkcontribs)
Also you kept the message part in but not the rest. Interesting this kept this time. Not others - unsigned comment from Gian9456 (talkcontribs)
I'm not the one who reverted you, but they kept the massage part in because it was the only part that was not already mentioned in the same section. Everything else was just repeated information. Also please keep the conversation in one place. Landfish7 23:25, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
But did you read my personality about garmchomp. What were the issues you think person didn't like about it - unsigned comment from Gian9456 (talkcontribs)
The information about Garchomp's personality that you added was already in the section, and it appears you copied the information just with slightly different wording and worse spelling and grammar. And I really don't think you need someone to explain to you that Cynthia is not spelled Cythina. I don't think you struggle with spelling, I think you need to slow down and preview your edits and then you'll notice the obvious mistakes. Landfish7 23:35, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
I didn't copy nothing what was wrong with my grammar how is it worse? What makes it bad How - unsigned comment from Gian9456 (talkcontribs)
also I didn't copy nothing. I Saw what I saw on from the show. Easy to know.Im not talking about here. From garmchomp page - unsigned comment from Gian9456 (talkcontribs)
Your edits to the Garchomp page were almost word for word the same as what was already written in the same section, and I think you know this. I think you need to step away and take a break to cool down. I will not be responding to any more of your hastily written responses at this time. Have a good day. Landfish7 23:43, 31 August 2022 (UTC)

How could it be same did you guys wrote that garmchomp protected cythina to prevent the villain using other pokemon by her own choice not by command. Doesn't seem likely - unsigned comment from Gian9456 (talkcontribs)

Regarding your recent edit

Please do not add information about a Pokémon being a "great and powerful ace" member of a character's team, as it is considered subjective and opinion. Thank you. Landfish7 00:16, 11 October 2022 (UTC)

Signature

You have got to start signing your comments properly. This has been explained to you over and over again including by multiple members of staff and with simple step-by-step instructions. Your refusal to listen makes it seem like you are being deliberately obtuse and uncooperative and it is not a good look. Landfish7 00:36, 11 October 2022 (UTC)

Talk page policy

Hey just wanted to let you know that if you're interested in casually discussing the anime and other aspects of the Pokémon franchise, consider bringing it to the Bulbagarden forums or Discord, while reserving conversations on Bulbapedia for things that relate to improving the content of the wiki. Hope this helps! Landfish7 02:49, 1 March 2023 (UTC)
