The Leadership Board, formerly the Editorial Board, is Bulbapedia's committee of experienced, high-level staff that drive the encyclopedia's progress. Members of the Leadership Board embody Bulbagarden's overall site values, and are capable of representing Bulbapedia within Bulbagarden and the wider Pokémon community. They have proven themselves responsible with driving positive change on the encyclopedia with content, style, policy, and community concerns, and serve as Bulbapedia's official voice as needed when issues arise. They are granted appropriate permissions accordingly.
The Leadership Board consists of the Bulbapedia Editor-in-Chief, Deputy Editor-in-Chief, as well as a select number of members chosen by the Editor-in-Chief. Bulbagarden's Executive Staff hold honorary positions on the Board. Staff who leave the Leadership Board can retain Administrator rank provided they can meet the requirements and expectations of the role.
Unless indicated on the Bulbapedia staff list, all members of the Leadership Board are available to answer user questions and concerns. General questions regarding content areas should be directed to the Bulbapedia projects talk pages.
Board members maintain access to dedicated staff areas on Bulbagarden forums and Bulbagarden Discord where they participate in discussions about key decisions and strategic planning for Bulbapedia.
Staff expectations
In accordance to Bulbagarden's four core values, members of the Leadership Board act as leaders for the encyclopedia, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for all contributors. In addition to the expectations for both Bulbapedia staff members and all previous staff levels (Junior Administrators and Administrators), the Leadership Board has the following responsibilities and expectations:
- Actively participate in the planning and execution of site-wide initiatives that go beyond basic content improvements, both on-wiki, and in the overall Bulbagarden network and beyond
- Participate in the majority of monthly goal-setting meetings (or equivalent)
- Serve as project lead for complicated wiki improvements with wide-reaching implications, synthesizing all available information in an unbiased manner, comfortable asking for help and input as needed from a wide range of sources
- Prioritize decision-making reached through discussion and mutual agreement
- Comfortable identifying and facilitating change around operational pain points and roadblocks
- Act as mentors to peers and lower staff levels, with the authority to manage user issues that involve staff members
- Trusted to represent Bulbapedia off-wiki in other parts of the Bulbagarden network and wider community, using the Bulbapedia name to build contacts

Authority
The Leadership Board is tasked with setting official binding policy, synthesizing all available information to do so. The Leadership Board is also afforded the following rights:
- Locking and unlocking of the Bulbapedia database for maintenance
- The ability to change all user rights on Bulbapedia and Bulbagarden Archives
- The ability to rename users on individual wikis and in the central database
