Gastro Acid (Japanese: いえき Gastric Juice) is a non-damaging Poison-type move introduced in Generation IV.

Effect

Gastro Acid suppresses the target's Ability while it remains in battle. Gastro Acid does not affect Multitype or Stance Change. Pickup and Honey Gather can still find an item after the battle even if suppressed. Despite being a Poison-type move, Gastro Acid affects Steel-type Pokémon.

Description

Games Description The user hurls up its stomach acids on the foe. The fluid eliminates the effect of the foe’s ability. The user hurls up its stomach acids on the target. The fluid eliminates the effect of the target's Ability. PMDTDS Afflicts the targeted enemy with a Gastro Acid status condition. A Pokémon with the Gastro Acid status loses the benefit of its ability.
