Jaw Lock (Japanese: くらいつく Seize with Teeth) is a damage-dealing Dark-type move introduced in Generation VIII. It is the signature move of Chewtle and Drednaw.

Jaw Lock inflicts damage. It also prevents the user and the target from fleeing or switching out (even if they are allies), unless either of them is already prevented. Jaw Lock does not prevent a Pokémon from switching out with Wimp Out or Emergency Exit or when holding a Shed Shell.

Description

Games Description
SwShLA This move prevents the user and the target from switching out until either of them faints. The effect goes away if either of the Pokémon leaves the field.
BDSP This move can’t be used. It’s recommended that this move is forgotten. Once forgotten, this move can’t be remembered.
