In Pokémon Masters EX, X Sp. Atks can only be used by certain sync pairs who have them as an item move. In addition, a variant of X Sp. Atk called X Sp. Atk All can be used by certain sync pairs. Both of these item moves have 2 MP. An X Sp. Atk only raises the user's Special Attack, while an X Sp. Atk All raises the Special Attack of all allies. X Special was a Trainer card that was due to be released in the Pokémon Trading Figure Game expansion, Groundbreakers, but due to the discontinuation of the TFG as a whole, it was never released. It adds two stars to a chosen Pokémon's Purple attacks.
