Introduction
I'm Dougbro1, and I became an editor of Bulbapedia in May 2022. I've been a Pokémon fan for quite some time now, ever since I received my first Pokémon card, a Voltorb (which was sadly ripped in two, but I taped it back together and keep it safely in my room as a memoir of that day).
My first experience with the main series games was via the collector's edition of Pokémon Black and White: Prima's Official Strategy Guide, owned by my cousin, whom I also watched play Platinum and White. I also watched the entirety of the XY anime series before I familiarized myself with all the existing main series games and ESPECIALLY came to love the music. The first main series release that I was on the hype train for as soon as the first trailer was out was Sword and Shield, and in my opinion, it lived up to the hype! I like to consider myself an "all-Genner," a huge fan of all the games and regions represented within. I'm a huge optimist when it comes to new game releases and I tend to keep an open mind. To this day, I have never been truly disappointed by any release during my time as a Pokémon fan.
I eventually learned about a few of the more famous spin-off series and got a general sense of them in and out. Favourite spin-offs include the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series and Pokémon Masters EX.
A little over a year before I was an editor, I joined the Bulbagarden Discord server, and the community there is amazing! I joined Bulbapedia as an editor because I have an ardent desire to help others in their searches for anything Pokémon related, in whatever ways I feel able to.
