Lucario is a bipedal, jackal-like Pokémon, with fur that is predominantly blue and black. It possesses a short, round spike on the back of each forepaw, in addition to a third on its chest. Lucario's snout and ears are longer than those of its pre-evolution Riolu. It possesses cream-colored fur on its torso, and blue fur on its thighs that appears to resemble shorts. Lucario stands its toes rather than on its entire foot. It has developed four small black appendages on its head, which rise when Lucario reads or manipulates aura.

None.
Special abilities
Lucario are sensitive to a special type of energy called aura. Lucario can study this energy to predict the movements of their opponents and track their quarries. They also have the power to manipulate this energy in an offensive manner, in the form of explosive spheres of aura energy. Lucario can understand human speech, and have been reported to communicate with humans through telepathy.
Behavior
Lucario are considered to be prideful creatures, and are extremely loyal to their trainers. Lucario also seem to have a natural sense of justice.
Habitat
Lucario usually live deep in mountains very far from people to improve their skills. Therefore, like Milotic and Togekiss, they are some of the rarest non-legendary Pokémon known, and finding a wild Lucario is excruciatingly difficult.
The Lucario in Lucario and the Mystery of Mew was shown eating Berries and plants, like roses. Lucario has been seen eating chocolate, introduced by Max with it gaining no ill-effects from the theobromine, though not part of its natural diet.
Lucario was one of the main Pokémon in Lucario and the Mystery of Mew. It belonged to Sir Aaron and was sealed away in his staff for a thousand years. It was released by Ash during a festival, and helped guide him to the Tree of Beginning after Pikachu is teleported there by Mew.
This Lucario debuted in Steeling Peace of Mind! at Iron Island. When Ash and his friends traveled there after being contacted by Barry, they found the local Template:Type2 Pokémon fighting brutally against each other and the other Pokémon on the island. When a crazed Aggron attacked Ash, Riley stepped in and had Lucario attack it with Close Combat. Despite being a Steel-type as well, Lucario wasn't affected like the others of its type due to its strong aura.
Lucario is a playable character available in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It is unlocked by encountering it in The Subspace Emissary either from choosing it to battle and claim victory over Meta Knight or vice-versa. It can also be unlocked by playing 100 brawls or beating Target Smash!! on all difficulty levels (in either 1 or 2-player modes).
Lucario appears to be able to talk with the help of Aura; most notably seen while using its Final Smash when it says "Watch the power of Aura!" Lucario's fighting style revolves around Aura manipulation and the concept of "high risk, high return"; the more damage Lucario has taken, the stronger it and its attacks become. Its power is at its peak when it has taken 170% damage, and is in last place during a fight.
Mei Ling:"I guess you could call it his life force. Lucario can use his own Aura and turn it into power. Every time Lucario's damage increases, his Aura gains strength, making his attacks more powerful. So don't think you've got him beat just because his health is down."
Solid Snake:"The cornered rat will bite the cat... Sounds like trouble."
Mei Ling:"Hey! When did you become so good with proverbs?!"
Solid Snake:"You must have rubbed off on me."
Mei Ling:"Well, come back in one piece, and I'll teach you all the Chinese proverbs you can handle."
Trophy information
Classic Mode: Lucario
An Aura Pokémon. It can track energy called Aura, which is given off by all living creatures. It's a unique combination of both Fighting- and Template:Type2s. Lucario evolves from Riolu during the day if its happiness has reached a certain point. It specializes in attacks that use Aura energy, like Dark Pulse and a can't-miss technique, Aura Sphere.
All-Star Mode: Aura Storm
Lucario's Final Smash. After flying off the screen, Lucario reappears in its center. It then launches a powerful Aura attack against all foes within a certain distance. The key to this attack is the ability to change its angle--it's a must to sweep slowly left and right to his selected enemies multiple times. The last blow will send the victim flying away.

NPC appearances
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team: Lucario is seen as the greatest rescue leader of all time, and his adventures have become legendary. While the player never meets Lucario, Alakazam tells the player that his goal is to become closer to Lucario's greatness. Earning 15000 Rescue Points will put the player in the top Rescue Team rank—Lucario rank—at which point the Lucario Statue will be displayed outside the Team Base.
Lucario is the only Pokémon that learns Dragon Pulse through leveling up who is not a Template:Type2 or related to one through evolution.
Origin
Lucario appears to be based on the Egyptian god of funerals, Anubis, who has the head of a jackal. Anubis's role in Egyptian mythology was to judge the hearts of deceased souls based on their actions during life. This resembles Lucario's ability to see a life form's aura. It also seems to be based on an Egyptian boxer. Boxing is a sport that is believed to have origins in Egypt. The markings on Lucario's face resemble a mask.
Name origin
Its name probably comes from Lupaster, a subspecies of the Canis Aureus, the Egyptian Jackal. Lucario's name possibly derives also from part of a Japanese spelling of oracle or orichalcum in reverse, reflecting its mythical design, its ability to see into the supernatural, and its Steel-type. It may also refer to Cairo, Egypt. The word pharaoh may also be involved. Also, it may be derived from the Greek word lykos meaning "wolf".
