Pokémon: Official Nintendo Player's Guide is a guidebook for Pokémon Red and Blue published by Nintendo Power.

Right before the "Field Guide" (Pokédex) was a page containing stickers (stamps) for all 150 Pokémon, headed with the phrase "Gotta Stamp 'Em All!". Each Pokémon's entry in the Field Guide featured a space where the owner was encouraged to place the Pokémon's stamp when they had caught that Pokémon.

"Oddish Cut down a bush!"

• On page 18, it is said: "In most cities, you won't be able to move on until you defeat the local gym leader."
  • If this is about physically moving through the city to the next place, this only applies to Pewter City in this generation, rather than most cities. This can also potentially apply to Fuchsia City if the player has already obtained the Marsh Badge out of order and now requires the Soul Badge to use Surf and travel to Cinnabar Island or Seafoam Islands.
  • Alternatively, in the sense of being specifically required to obtain the current badge or else the next badge (in the Trainer Card order) will not be obtainable, this only applies to Pewter City and Cinnabar Island.
• On page 31, an alternate text string for using Cut on a tree was shown. This is likely left over from a prerelease version of the game.
