Welcome to Bulbapedia, Seabiscuit2020!
Bulbapedia bulb.png

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

You edited five times in one page.

Seabiscuit2020, I saw you edited five times in the article List of Pokémon temporarily owned by the Team Rocket trio. Please use the Preview button so you can avoid multiple edits in one page in a few minutes. And also please use the Minor edit checkbox if you are just correcting punctuations, grammar and spelling. I am just saying you this to avoid the Recent Changes be filled up with your multiple edits. Thank you. Pokéfan95 (talk) 03:26, 7 April 2015 (UTC)

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Thanks! --AGGRON989 03:03, 14 April 2015 (UTC)

The Preview Button

You have been warned before. You have made 8 edits to the article Ash Ketchum yesterday. Please use the Preview button first before saving your edit. Thank you! --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 08:30, 23 April 2015 (UTC)

Fixed

All done.--Jay-Man 16:25, 23 April 2015 (UTC) JasonL (Talk)

Your Template Edits

You are added template for characters who do not own certain Pokémon to pages they don't belong on. I have no intention to "cut it out". If you wish to appeal, please take it to a staff member. I intend to recommend a staff member to review, in fact. CycloneGU (talk) 20:00, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

Adding that I've asked the head of anime for a ruling on whether other character's footers can be used on unrelated pages. There may be a reason some are currently allowed, so I want to know why, myself. CycloneGU (talk) 21:13, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

Preview button

It appears that there are still instances of you not using the preview button. Please use the preview button more frequently as to make sure there are no mistakes in your edits. Thank you.--ForceFire 03:22, 8 May 2015 (UTC)

Editing in Userspace

When editing in userspace, as you did here, it's usually better to bring up suggestions for improvement on the item's talk page rather than edit directly unless the editor creating the page has stated that others are welcome to edit the page (as I've done before). Just wanted to let you know that. CycloneGU (talk) 03:26, 8 May 2015 (UTC)

Your new pages

Next time, created it first in the userspace, especially if he/she voiced only one character. This is to prevent it being deleted. I moved your two new pages to my userspace. --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 02:15, 12 May 2015 (UTC)

Not to interfere, but since he created them, shouldn't they be moved to his userspace? Or were you planning to create them anyway? Just curious why you claimed the pages. CycloneGU (talk) 02:43, 12 May 2015 (UTC)

Force-preview

Hello. Even though you have received four warnings on previewing your edits (the most recent one being 5 days ago), you still continue to make mistakes that could have been prevented by using the preview button, having caused you to edit a page multiple times in a row. To clarify, a correcting edit right after an initial one is allowed, but your history shows you have continued to make said mistake very often. Because of this, it has been decided to put you in the "force-preview" group. This means you will be forced to preview every edit you make for the time being. Once the staff feels you are good to go again, you may be put out of the force-preview group. If you have any questions, feel free to reply to this message or contact another staff member. G50 21:34, 13 May 2015 (UTC)

Your template edits 2

Please never never NEVER edit a highly-used template. EVER. You just made four consecutive edits in {{Ash's Pokémon}} template today. That template is highly used, and I don't know if it crashed the servers for a few minutes. You must suggest the edits instead in the talk page, or try it in your sandbox. Next time, before editing a template, at the "tools" section in your left, click "What links here" to see if that template is highly-used. If it is now 10 or more, then don't edit. And don't forget to preview, because even that template is not highly-used, if you make a large number of edits (ex. 3), that can still crash the server. Thank you. --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 05:53, 14 May 2015 (UTC)

I am sorry if my message sounds rude. I just want to avoid the servers being crashed, so all users can edit without problems. Just consider this not a warning. --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 06:10, 14 May 2015 (UTC)

Kyogre (M09)

Kyogre (movie 9) was formerly an article about that Kyogre. The article was redirected to the general Kyogre page due to a lack of notability. Please create a prospective article in your userspace, such as at User:Seabiscuit2020/Kyogre (M09), and ask for staff approval before reediting those pages. Thank you! --Abcboy (talk) 03:33, 17 May 2015 (UTC)

Creating new pages

Hello. While it is appreciated that you create pages for anime characters, you should really add more to them. A page that almost only contains the name of the character and the episode it appeared in is barely worth of being called an article. In the future, please gather more information before you create such articles. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 06:12, 22 May 2015 (UTC)

Just letting you know

It's best if you wait until the image is uploaded to the Archives before adding in the appropriate image links to the pages on Bulbapedia. PattyMan 20:52, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

Warnings

Hello. It would be appreciated if you take notice of the messages others leave on your talk page. Pattyman told you to wait with making edits if they involve images that have yet to be uploaded on the Archives, yet you did this. Also, I'm kind of late on this, but a week ago you made pages for the characters appearing in SS034. They contain barely anything now, and it would be really appreciated if you wait with creating these kind of pages until you can add more information to them (like I told you before), like a brief summary of their role for example. A red link is not necessarily a bad thing, and characters don't need a page right away. It's better to wait if all you can add at the moment is the name and the episode the character appeared in. The pages you made can stay for now, but do take notice of this for the future. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 18:14, 23 July 2015 (UTC)

Userspace limits

Hello. I have noticed that you have been editing the User: namespace a lot recently, and have made a total of 6 userspace edits today. Please do not edit the userspace any more, as the userspace policy limits the amount you can edit your userpage: No more than three edits per day (by UTC), and you must contribute to the mainspace more than you edit your user page(s). This policy was instated to promote people helping out in the mainspace, and also to control strain on our servers. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal page(s). The more often you edit in the mainspace, the more you will be allowed to edit your user page(s). Thank you. --- Kogoro - Talk to me - 00:16, 30 July 2015 (UTC)

Japanese exclusive stuff

When referring to something that's only in the Japanese version of the episode, we use the epicodes rather than the dub titles.--ForceFire 04:55, 7 November 2015 (UTC)

Mirai and Baraz

Do you have a source for Mary and Barza's dub names actually being spelled Mirai an Baraz? I don't really doubt Baraz's spelling but Mirai's spelling could easily be something different. There was a wait on moving the pages for that reason, since the names weren't 100% confirmed. Since you just moved the pages, I'm wondering whether you have a source that actually confirms it. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 21:36, 16 November 2015 (UTC)

Voice actor pages

Voice actors must meet Project VA's notability requirements to have a page for them. If you're unsure if a voice actor meets them, use that page's talk page. Furthermore, do not remove a delete notice from a page. glikglak 12:56, 24 December 2015 (UTC)

Puni-chan's Song

That page covers a Japanese song for the original Japanese version. It's most likely not going to get dubbed, so it stays at its Japanese title.--ForceFire 15:23, 17 January 2016 (UTC)

Sylveon

Hello. I saw the edits you made to the Sylveon page and the Sylveon disambiguation page you made. While it is appreciated, under no circumstances should evolution information be added to pages until the episode in which the Pokemon in question evolves has aired. Until today's episode airs in Japan in a few hours, it's still an Eevee. Ataro (talk) 06:54, 28 January 2016 (UTC)

On creating new pages

You have been warned twice previously about creating new pages with little to no content. Yet you have continued to create such pages, some which other people had to fill out and some which still have yet to be filled out. And today you have created four more pages with little real substance.

So, once more: Do not create these sorts of pages.

If you continue to ignore this warning and create more pages with hardly any content, you may face a block for your failure to follow staff's instructions. You have had ample warning now.

Thank you. Tiddlywinks (talk) 01:57, 9 March 2016 (UTC)

Manga moves

Look, when it comes to manga it's hard to tell if a Pokemon is using a move or not. As such, we have decided to make sure to only mention a move if a character officially states what a move is. If it isn't called out, under no circumstance should you add it to any page. Also, if you haven't read a chapter of any manga, then don't add a description template to any move page. The way you describe these moves is clearly not how they work. I don't know if you're interpreting wrong or just guessing because you haven't seen the chapter. Either way, no description is better than a completely inaccurate guesswork description. Ataro (talk) 09:50, 4 May 2016 (UTC)

And despite the warning, you did it again. I will repeat what I said before: do not, under any circumstance, for any reason, add a move to a page if it hasn't been called out. It is getting really tiresome going to bed and having to find myself reverting your edits when I wake up. Please and thank you. Ataro (talk) 10:27, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
This is a month late, but I hate having to remind you of this a third time. Do not, under any circumstances, add a move unless it was called out. The next time you do this, it will result in a block. Ataro (talk) 23:05, 13 June 2017 (UTC)

New templates, categories

A couple things:

  1. Do not call a template before the template is even created. Always create the template first, then call the template on other page(s). Most especially, do not insert templates that haven't been created onto pages and leave them there for 8+ hours, like what you did with Cameron, Alain, and Aria. I'm not even sure what you were trying to accomplish with that.
  2. Templates and categories for characters' Pokémon should not be created for characters who have less than two Pokémon with their own pages. These templates and categories are meant to be used to navigate between Pokémon pages. There is no point in creating a navigation template if you can only navigate between one Pokémon's page and sections on a character's page. The only possible exception we make is for main characters, meaning Ash's official traveling companions (so the humans in the "Protagonists" section of {{Animecharacters}}. Rivals do not count.

Please keep these in mind for the future. Thank you. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 14:57, 9 May 2016 (UTC)

Florges's Japanese VA

OK, so how the VA crediting system works in the Japanese version of the anime is that in cases of double/triple casting, the VA is credited as their more major or recurring role. Because of this, I'm not sure how you drew the conclusion that Megumi Hayashibara is Florges in XY069 and XY070 other than playing by ear. She was never credited as Florges in all three of her voiced appearances, only as Jessie. And in XY123, Hitomi Nabatame is credited for Florges. And in XY123, Hitomi Nabatame is credited for Florges. I think it's more likely that Nabatame was Florges all along and she wasn't credited for her until XY123 because before, Chespin was there to take precedent. So, what do you think? Technickal (talk) 15:55, 13 June 2016 (UTC)

Mass editing and red links

In the future, before adding a red link to a large number of pages, please ask a staff member for approval to do so and wait for a response. This is to prevent the recent changes from getting clogged up with your mass editing and then getting clogged up again with reversions to your edits in the case that page creation for the specific subject in question is not approved. The creation of an article for the Megalith has been approved, but please keep this in mind for the future. Thank you. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 21:00, 17 September 2016 (UTC)

Editing my userspace

Hey, I have seen you edited my Ash's Pokémon History page a few times. After your first edit I put up a line, asking people to not edit my page unless fixing a mistake. However, you still continued editing. I understand that you're just trying to help, but in the future please put any suggestions in the talk page. Thanks. Satsjoe (talk) 08:55, 29 September 2016 (UTC)

Pokémon Coordinator

Hi there. Since you failed to provide a reason in your edit summary, may I know why you added Serena back to the list of notable Coordinators after I had reverted another user for doing the exact same thing? As I explained in my edit summary, Serena is not a notable Coordinator. That list is supposed to help people better understand what a Coordinator is by navigating through pages of characters who will illustrate the concept for them. If you go to Serena's page, you won't understand why her name is even on that list, let alone understand what Coordinators do. --Mikuri 00:07, 15 October 2016 (UTC)

Userspace policy; other users' pages

Per the userspace policy, userpages are not to be edited by other users unless explicit permission is given; the few exceptions are listed on the policy page. If you think a change should be made to another user's userpage, ask for permission by leaving a message on the user's talk page. Otherwise, there is no reason for you to be editing another user's userpage, no matter how much you disagree with its content. Please read carefully through the policy page, as this is not your first time having this problem, and follow it. Thank you. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 05:32, 23 October 2016 (UTC)

Alolan Muk

Can you, by any chance, write info about Alolan Muk in the biology section of the Muk page? - unsigned comment from Pikachu1000 (talkcontribs)

Incomplete template

I assure you, the staff knows about the missing Generation VII sprites. They have said on talk pages they're waiting until they have all the sprites for all Pokémon before adding them. There's absolutely no need to waste time and effort adding the incomplete template to alert them to something they already know about. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 05:58, 20 December 2016 (UTC)

Fansubs

Hi. I'd like to ask you to please never copy from a fansub. If you don't know Japanese, then please don't try to edit something as specific as Poke Problem questions. Leave it to someone who can judge it personally.

Thank you. Tiddlywinks (talk) 00:18, 24 February 2017 (UTC)

Question

Why are you adding move debuts to episode articles? Playerking95 (talk) 18:01, 23 June 2017 (UTC)

Because when I was browsing several of the Pokémon Adventures pages yesterday, I came across someone adding move debuts on the pages like this one. So that gave me an idea that if the manga pages should have that then so will the anime episode and movie pages. User:Seabiscuit2020 (talk) 18:19, 23 June 2017 (UTC)
For such a large change that affects so many pages, I really think you should ask a staff member before doing this. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 19:00, 23 June 2017 (UTC)

Chapter page note

Thanks for helping with the translations for the English titles to the X and Y chapter pages. Just so you know to create a link to the Viz Media volumes I add them in as trivia. As long as you copy and paste carefully and adjust the volume number carefully in the link connection box, it is very easy to do (after I do it the first time, I copy again so I don't need to adjust the volume number a second time). -Tyler53841 (talk) 22:43, 5 July 2017 (UTC)

Episode articles

Just as a note, please don't add episodes like SM041 without proof such as image or a video, otherwise they're are not confirmed episodes. Playerking95 (talk) 09:17, 6 August 2017 (UTC)

Anime moves

I just wanted to let you know about our current policy regarding moves in the anime. If a move is not explicitly identified in the anime, it should not be added to our pages. If you think it looks like [insert move here] should or has or something, that's not enough. ...Only—and tentatively—if a move is on this page is it okay to add it here without explicit confirmation. If you think a move should be on that page but isn't, please discuss it and don't add it without approval. Thanks. Tiddlywinks (talk) 15:55, 12 August 2017 (UTC)

Episode articles, again

Again DO NOT(!) add episodes without proof such as image or a video, otherwise they're are not confirmed episodes. Serebii sure as heck is not proof. Playerking95 (talk) 12:53, 10 January 2018 (UTC)

Pokémon GO banners

Hi there! I just noticed that last month, you added a great deal of Pokémon GO banners to various species pages. However, the roundiness was wrong on these, so I had to correct about 60 of them — every Pokémon from Spinda to Deoxys, except Luvdisc, which someone else fixed earlier. If you're ever editing the top navigation banner on species pages in the future, please pay attention to the roundiness and make sure it's correct. Thanks!
