ThunderShock (Japanese: でんきショック Electric Shock) is an Electric-type move introduced in Generation I that deals a small amount of damage.
Effect
Generation I
ThunderShock does damage and has a 9.8% chance of paralyzing the opponent. ThunderShock cannot paralyze an opponent that has a Substitute or already has a major status ailment.
Generation II - Generation IV
The effects of ThunderShock continue into this generation, however, it has a 10% chance of paralyzing the opponent.

Pokémon
Pikachu Pikachu lights up and then releases a lighting bolt. ThunderShock was one of Pikachu's first moves, and often used it on Ash. The visual effect varies, from being a ball of electricity to an electrical wave.
