Trivia

  • Due to its ability to learn six HM moves, Bibarel is considered by fans to be the best HM slave.
  • Bibarel is one of only two Pokémon that is part Template:Type2 and not part Template:Type2. The other is Girafarig. It is also the only Template:Type2 Pokémon whose secondary type doesn't negate it's Template:Type2 weakness
  • Oddly, every time Bibarel appears in the anime, it has a female "mask".

Origin

Bibarel is based on a beaver.

Name origin

  • Its name comes from Beaver and Barrel.
  • Bibarel's Japanese name is derived from the English word beaver and dull, referring to its simple minded and relaxed manner, or 樽 taru, barrel. It also referred as ビーバー "beaver" in Japanese and "barrel".
