A very appealing move, but after using this move, the user is more easily startled.

Spacial Rend (Japanese: あくうせつだん Subspace Tear) is a damage-dealing Dragon-type move introduced in Generation IV. It is the signature move of Palkia.

Effect

Generations IV to VII

Spacial Rend deals damage and has an increased critical hit ratio.

Spacial Rend can also be used as part of a Contest Spectacular combination, with the user gaining extra three appeal points if the move Focus Energy was used in the prior turn.

Generation VIII

In Versions 1.0 to 1.2.1 of Pokémon Sword and Shield, Spacial Rend could not be selected in a battle. Starting with Version 1.3.0, it is usable and functions the same as it did in previous generations.

In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, it can be selected and functions as it did in previous generations.

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Spacial Rend's base power and accuracy vary with Palkia's Formes. When used by Palkia's default forme, it has a base power of 90 and an accuracy of 95. When used by Palkia's Origin Forme, it has a base power of 80 and an accuracy of 95, as well as a unique animation. It also has an increased critical hit ratio.
