Trivia

  • Only two non-Rock-type Pokémon can learn Rock Throw; they are both related to Rock-types through evolution. Coincidentally, they were both released in Generation II.
  • Regirock is the only legendary Pokémon capable of learning Rock Throw, who happens to be the only legendary Template:Type2 Pokémon. Thus, all legendary Rock-type Pokémon can learn Rock Throw.
  • Cranidos and Rampardos are the only pure Rock-types incapable of learning Rock Throw.
  • Rock Throw is the only physical Rock move with no secondary effect.
  • If Secret Power is used on a rocky surface in Generation III, or in a cave or on a rocky surface in Generation IV, it will have the animation of Rock Throw.
