Ash's Gengar (Japanese: サトシのカイリュー Satoshi's Gangar) was the second Pokémon caught by Ash in the new series, and his fifty-fourth overall.

Histoty

As a wild Pokémon

Gengar first appeared in SS011, where it was seen causing trouble at the Sakuragi Institute. Gengar was eventually defeated when Koharu commanded Yamper to use Spark, causing it to flee. It was later seen at the end of the episode, perched atop of the Institute.

Gengar reappeared in SS014, where it phased through the wall and watched Ash, Go, and their Pokémon when they returned from Unova.
