Is it possible to get a better picture of Misty's first outfit? :x Togepi's blocking a good chunk of it.--Biccy 17:45, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

Rival Clothes
Should we put in rivals such as Gary, Drew, Harley, Paul, Zoey, and Kenny? If the page is too long then we could seperate it into smaller articles. One with Ash's friends, one with rivals and Team Rocket. ^-^--Dawnfan47 19:35, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
Probably, but of the ones you listed, only Gary has changed clothes.PokeManiac102 19:52, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Brock's Blue Clothes
It seems that Brock continues to wear the blue festival coat from the Croagunk episode throughout the Gym Battle episode with Crasher Wake. He is also seen leaving with it on. I doubt he'll continue to wear them, but they should be mentioned. Satosuke 15:24, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Pi-Kahuna

Misty Pics
There is a set of very repetitive pictures of Misty's green bikini. There is one with just the bikini, and the other with a white jacket on top. Is it really that necessary to mention the jacket? She's never quite worn it in the series, and she discarded it pretty quickly after changing into the bikini. So is that really needed?
Cc716 03:51, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- I don't think it's needed. This was a very "minor" outfit. Sure it was clothing that she wore, but come on. It doesn't have much relevance. This article is about the outfits that the person wears within the whole series, that are very notable and have been worn for longer than a few seconds. Vhayes1992 06:36, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
Dawn's Newest Swimsuit
If im not mistaken, Dawn was seen in a new bathing suit in the movie Arceus and the Jewel of Life. Should we add a picture of her in that swimsuit? - Alexa9966

Ash's Newest Swimsuit

For the main RPG players
I think we should make this kind of article for the Player characters of the main series RPGs, because they have atleast changed their clothes once because of the remakes or third versions. --Renzo493 13:25, July 14, 2010 (UTC)
Ash's Hair
should it be mentioned that ashes hair has changed color through out the series from black to a sort of blue-ish color? Angel10698 23:09, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

Pics That Are Unsatisfactory
I would really appreciate it if the pictures that are unsatisfactory do not get deleted but just improved. I hope it isn't to much to ask. On another note, should the Best Wishes section of Ash's clothing include how its different from the male charector in Black and White? I mean, Ash's jacket is zipped up, while the male chacter in Black and White is not zipped up at the bottom. I think it should also note that this is the first time Ash's jacket shows a zipper.
- Ash clothes have always different then the male character, this isn't any different. --HoennMaster 19:35, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
- And I think the article gives some of those differices. But I thought it missed the fact that this is the first time Ash's jacket has a zipper.Patrickmck 14:34, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
Improved Pics of Ash
A while back, I put on new pics of Ash, screenshots that I made to make Ash "front and centre" in the shot with the clothing in question. This edit was reverted by another user, who claimed that the older pictures were just fine.
I posted on that user's wall asking them why they feel those pics were better than mine, but they have not responded. I don't want to get into an editing war with them, but I am having trouble getting them to communicate with me. At the very least I would like to hear why they felt the changes weren't required before I move on.
Can I get some advice on this issue? Should I wait a bit longer for their response before putting my new pics back on? What other options do I have?

Musical Outfits
Should Iris and Cilan's outfits really be included on this page since they never appeared in them in the anime? This is for clothing that the characters have worn in the anime and until this point neither have worn them. Promotion or not, since they never actually wore the outfits it doesn't appear to be all that noteworthy. Gohan5 16:48, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
- What about this? ★Jo the Marten★ ಠ_ಠ♥ 16:58, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
- That too then, none of them actually appear in the anime. You could make a case for Dawn I suppose since the Learning League is a separate media that draws from the anime characters. Gohan5 17:05, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
- And that is a promotional advertisement that draws from anime characters. It's still anime artwork even if it wasn't shown in an episode. --ケンジのガール 23:35, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
- Just wondering since the page kind of suggests that the outfits are worn by the characters sometime in the anime. Would that include other promotions like the Domino's one with Ash and Dawn? That was a different outfit and obviously was a promotion for the anime. I guess that's where I'm confused, what's the line? Gohan5 04:01, 11 October 2011 (UTC)

Cilan's socks
In Beheeyem, Duosion, and the Dream Thief! In the scene where Ash, Iris, and Cilan land on their stomachs on the bed. They weren't wearing shoes and Cilan was wearing black socks. Is that useful? Grabbergirl ♥ ★ (talk) 00:45, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
Let's set some standards for the galleries, shall we?
They were looking a tad messy -- some had no limit to the width, some had a limit of four images per row, some had a limit of five. I've changed it so that galleries with 15 or less images are limited to 5 per row, and galleries with more than 15 are allowed to stretch. This makes the most sense to my aesthetic sense -- any less and it's less of a gallery, more a row of images plus extra, but more than that and it starts taking up too much space vertically. Anyone agree or disagree, can we settle on a standard format?
Besides that, we should probably set down a standard for sorting the images. It's a little hodgepodge right now. Look at Ash's, for example: The first seven images are (presumably) sorted by the chronological order that they appeared in the series. However, that seventh is an image of him in swim trunks, so the next seven are all different images of him in swim trunks. Then we have some that are (presumably) sorted by the chronological order from the BF and DP eras. Then a couple that detail individual articles. Then we have some odds and ends, followed by the two most recent chronologically in XY.
So, can we sort them out a little better? I would think the best system would be to sort them in the same order that they appear in the list above the gallery: First by category, then chronologically within the category. However, I can also see some merit in a straight chronological sort, hence why I took it to the discussion page before starting to rearrange all the pictures. --Pie ~♪♫ 01:15, 24 April 2014 (UTC)
ash apple
didn't ash once dress as an apple? --Valehd (tAlk) 22:54, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
- To my knowledge, yes. I think he dressed as an apple in the episode he caught Snorlax in. Later on in the AG series, he (and James of Team Rocket), dressed up as eggplants. Later on in the Diamond and Pearl series, he, James, and Meowth (Team Rocket) also wore black jackets that had (I think, don't quote me on this) bulls-eye designs on the back in the episode where the latter two don't want to steal Jaco's Electrike. I can't remember the names of those three episodes, but those are other clothes for Ash, James and Meowth. WATERWarrior67 23:32, 3 February 2015 (UTC)

Split
This article is quite large, so this is my idea of how we could split it up a bit.
- The main article will return to being just an Ashnime article. Could title it List of clothing in Pokémon the Series, but I'm sure there's a few other options.
- Ash will get his own article for his clothing, titled Ash's clothing.
- Horizons will get its own article for its main character's clothing, possibly titled something like List of clothing in Pokémon Horizons.
While the remaining article will still be pretty big, this will give some room for Horizons to breathe and expand, and will give Ash's clothing its own focus, which I feel makes sense, as his outfits and their changes over the years are pretty iconic in their own right. What do we think? And any thoughts on the titles? Landfish7 20:18, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- To me, it seems odd to have this as a distinct page at all. This article isn't actually about clothing in the anime in general, only about the outfits worn by the main characters specifically. In which case, it would make more sense to document that on those characters' own articles, not here. In some cases (such as Ash), there probably is enough content to give it its own dedicated article, but most of this information should really be on the character pages.
- I don't really see the value in having an article about clothing in the anime that only covers main characters. --SnorlaxMonster 11:34, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
- I could see this page being reworked as just a collection of their main outfits, but even that seems a bit silly now that I think of it. Here's what this could look like for Misty as an example just from a basic copy-paste [2] (diff). Landfish7 12:30, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
- Team Rocket could probably get its own page too. Landfish7 20:55, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
