Battle 1: My First Battle

Summary

In the beginning I perfectly predicted what move Rhyperior was going to use and was able to switch accordingly. Breloom really did a great job of defeating Arcanine, and from that point on, there was little chance for the enemy to win. When Slowbro used Surf, however, I kinda feared for the battle. If Electivire was knocked out, I would have to use Magmortar (who is Scarfed). If Magmortar had used Thunderbolt on Slowbro, I wouldn't have been able to affect Rhyperior. If Magmortar had used Flamethrower, it might not have KO'd Slowbro and Surf would've KO'd Magmortar. Psychic and Focus Blast would've both been useless. So I got really lucky that Slowbro didn't KO Electivire. From there on, the battle was mine.

Summary

When that Japanese guy sent out Combee, I was like WTF? Why would he pick Combee? Then it turned out that it's a Sash-Endeavor Combee, which I wasn't expecting. I didn't even know Combee could learn Endeavor. The special Machamp was surprising too, even though it was quickly taken down. Probably the worst thing to happen to me during this battle was that Stantler's Intimidate. Without that, I'm sure Weavile would've knocked out Stantler, and Mamoswine would've knocked out Octillery. You win this round, Japs...I'll be back!

Summary

Yeah, so I got totally decimated here. And then I really mean decimated. What really surprised me was how little damage Raikou was dealing to Latias with Shadow Ball. I'm pretty sure that Latias was holding a Soul Dew. No way to find out because those damn stuck-up Japanese players never give you their friend passes. Well, at least I took out his Arcanine in the end...

Summary

I get crippled in the first turn when Primeape outspeeds and terminates (LOL, pun) Lucario. Venusaur scares off Primeape, only to draw in Typhlosion, whose Fire Blast misses my switchin Feraligatr. But that Typhlosion ends up holding a Power Herb, OHKO'ing Feraligatr with Solarbeam. So it's up to Venusaur to save the day, and she does KO Typhlosion, but Primeape gets FREEZE HAX on Venusaur, and I decide to give up.

Summary

So I get off to a good start. Crobat doesn't KO Torterra and Torterra decimates Crobat with Stone Edge. It also decimates Drifblim, but Drifblim knocks Torterra out with Return. Physical Drifblim, interesting. I wonder what it uses for STAB since Drifblim can't learn Shadow Claw, Shadow Punch or Shadow Sneak IIRC. I send in Infernape, who gets destroyed by Drifblim's Explosion. So it all comes down to Pikachu. And the poor little fella gets obliberated by a Scarfed Porygon-Z's STAB Hyper Beam. I'm sorry Pikachu, it's just not your day today.

Summary

Goddamn, it's a Trick Room team. Nothing is worse than a Trick Room team if you haven't got any slow Pokémon. And it's got a Guts Hariyama too. And WTF is up with Cresselia? It was sleeping for as long as the Trick Room was up! My Cresselia was freakin' asleep for FIVE ENTIRE TURNS! It if had woken up sooner and taken out Hariyama, I might even have won this battle! I'm blaming you, Cresselia!

Summary

OK, so I tried Tricking Mesprit's Choice Band onto Quagsire, but it already had one, locking me into Trick. So I had to switch out. I sacrificed Houndoom so that I could bring Cacnea in safely. In hindsight, I should've done it the other way around. Houndoom would've easily defeated that Forretress. This battle wasn't a good show for this pass. Really bad.

Summary

Rampardos is a beast. Rampardos wiped out Aggron and Yanmega without even breaking a sweat, though Manectric's high speed stopped Rampardos dead in its tracks. But the damage had already been done, leaving Rotom and Lucario to clean up after Rampardos.

Friend Battle 1: VS Gigatitan

Summary

OK, so I already kinda knew what his team was capable of. What I did not expect, however, was the Cloyster. So I had Arcanine and Lucario take out Cloyster first while Chatot set up Nasty Plot. He sends out Dugtrio, and I use Arcanine's ExtremeSpeed and Lucario's Vacuum Wave to knock out Chatot. Dugtrio knocks both my Pokémon out with Earthquake, though. I send in Gyarados and Houndoom. He sends in Swellow, whose strategy is ruined by Gyarados's Intimidate. Dugtrio switches to Shaymin, who is devastated by Houndoom's Flamethrower and Gyarados's Waterfall, but barely survives. Swellow U-Turns to Magnezone, who is easily OHKO'd by Houndoom. Shaymin damages my switchin Electivire a lot with Seed Bomb, but Shaymin goes down to Life Orb recoil. At this point, it was 4 for me and 2 for Gigatitan, so I was pretty confident. He sends out Swellow and Dugtrio. Houndoom outspeeds all of them and uses Flamethrower but doesn't knock it out. Dugtrio uses Rock Slide to defeat Houndoom and Electivire, and Swellow's Toxic Orb activates. I send out Gyarados and Yanmega, who are quickly defeated by Dugtrio's Rock Slide. Unfortunately, I lost.
