(Japanese: ウルティモ Ultimo) is a recurring character of the Pokémon anime. He first appeared in Curtain Up, Unova League!, where he participated in the Vertress Conference and was Virgil's first opponent. However, in Mission: Defeat Your Rival!, he was defeated by him and eliminated from the tournament.

Crustle
Crustle is the first Pokémon Ultimo is known to have on hand. It was used in the first round of the Vertress Conference against Virgil's Vaporeon. In Mission: Defeat Your Rival! it was defeated by him however.

Crustle's known moves are X-Scissor and Rock Wrecker.

Dwebble
Dwebble was seen briefly with Ultimo in front of a Pokémon Center in Mission: Defeat Your Rival!, after he was eliminated from the Vertress Conference.
