Raichu (Japanese: ライチュウ Raichu, German: Raichu, French: Raichu) is an Electric-type Pokémon.

Name origin

Raichu comes from the combination of 雷 rai, thunder, and ちゅうちゅう chūchū, which is Japanese onomatopoeia for squeaking.

Raichu's legs and long tail are not unlike those of a kangaroo rat.
