Roar of Time inflicts damage and then forces the user to recharge during the next turn. Unless this attack misses, the user will always have to recharge the next turn.
In Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, Dialga is available in a Special Mission. At the beginning of the mission, it uses Roar of Time to send the player and Wendy back in time to before the player moved to Chicole Village. If the player fails to capture Dialga within a hidden time limit, Dialga will send them back to the beginning of the mission.
Dialga's eyes glow orange and the diamond on its chest glows blue. The fins behind it grow larger and Dialga opens its mouth, an indigo ball forming in front of it. It then fires an indigo beam from the ball at the opponent. After the attack has been fired, the fins on its back shrink back to normal size.
Roar of Time has the highest base power of any Dragon-type move.
Despite the name implying a relation to sound, Roar of Time is not blocked by Soundproof.
In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2, Roar of Time hits all Pokémon in a room. However, it hits only one Pokémon in the main series. The same happens with Spacial Rend.
