This collection of sub-templates is based upon the already-existing Template:Movelist. They are intended to list the properties of moves in different generations.

MoveList/head
This template begins the table.

1 | The number of the generation to which the table pertains. |
MoveList/1
This template is used to display the properties of a single move in Generation I, with each instance of the template corresponding to a new row in the table.

1 | The name of the move. | |
2 | The move's type. | The template does not forbid the Dark, Steel, Fairy and ??? types, but they should not be used, as they did not exist in Generation I. The template defaults to the ??? type. |
3 | The move's base power. | If there is no numerical value, a single em dash [—] should be used rather than leaving the parameter blank. |
4 | The move's accuracy | The percentage symbol [%] is automatically included by the template, so there is no need to enter it manually. If there is no numerical value, a single em dash [—] should be used rather than leaving the parameter blank. |
5 | The move's base PP. | The template automatically uses this to calculate and also show the maximum amount of PP that can gained using PP Ups or a PP Max. |
6 | The target of the move. | In Generation I, this can be one of three values:

7 | The description of the move from Pokemon Stadium. | Move descriptions did not exist in the first generation core series games. |
MoveList/2
This template is used to display the properties of a single move in Generation II, with each instance of the template corresponding to a new row in the table.
