Trivia
- The only two Pokémon that learn Rock Throw yet are not Template:Type2 are related to Rock-types through evolution (with the obvious exception of Smeargle).
- Coincidentially, both of them were introduced in Generation II.
- All Pokémon that can learn Rock Throw in the generation in which they are introduced are able to learn the move in any subsequent generations to date. Likewise, no Pokémon has gained the ability to learn Rock Throw that they have lacked in previous generations.
- Generation IV is the first (and only, to date) generation to introduce an odd number of Pokémon that can learn Rock Throw- one.
- Regirock is the only legendary Pokémon capable of learning Rock Throw, who happens to be the only legendary Template:Type2 Pokémon. Thus, all legendary Rock-type Pokémon can learn Rock Throw.
- Cranidos and Rampardos are the only pure Rock-types incapable of learning Rock Throw.
- Rock Throw is the only physical Rock move with no secondary effect.
