Release information
In Japan, this card was first available as an Unnumbered Promotional card alongside Dark Venusaur and was included in Volume 10 of Pokémon Card Trainers magazine, released on March 1, 2001. This print uses the Neo Series layout and features the aesthetic differences common to Dark Pokémon cards from this period. It also features a "GB" symbol in place of an expansion symbol, referencing its ties to the Game Boy Color title Pokémon Trading Card Game 2: The Invasion of Team GR! It was reprinted in the Japanese Pokémon Web expansion. This print uses the e-Card Series layout, updates the Pokémon Power to a Poké-BODY, and lacks any Dark Pokémon aesthetics. The Pokémon Web print was available outside Japan as part of the Best of Game collection, and was distributed at BattleZone events in April 2003. A version with a gold foil "Winner" stamp in the bottom right corner of the artwork was awarded to those who had won a certain number of matches in the event. A Jumbo version of the Winner print was also given out. The "Winner" stamp is Non Holofoil on the Jumbo version.
