This article is about the TCG type. For the Trainer class that appeared in the TCG, see Seer (Aquapolis 133).

The Psychic type (Japanese: Psychic) is one of the eleven TCG types. It is represented by the color purple, and symbolized by an open eye.

The Psychic type contains most Psychic-, Ghost- and Poison-type Pokémon found in the main series video games. For example, Alakazam, Gengar and Garbodor are all Psychic types in the TCG.

Prior to the Diamond & Pearl set, the Psychic type did not contain any Poison-type Pokémon found in the main series video games. Rather, Poison-type were Grass type cards.

Starting with Sword & Shield, Pokémon that are Fairy-type in the video games will be Psychic type and Poison-type Pokémon are now grouped in with Darkness.

The corresponding Basic Energy card is Psychic Energy.
