Welcome to Bulbapedia, Pipefan!

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

TCG stuff

Would you mind going through the cards you've been adding to character pages and making sure they have the character's TCG category on them? glikglak 17:41, 28 February 2020 (UTC)

This should do it. Pipefan (talk) 18:27, 28 February 2020 (UTC)

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Thanks! --— Ruixiang95 13:00, 19 March 2020 (UTC)

I know about preview, the multiple edits were me not noticing the set was a deck rather than an expansion, they would be dual revisions anyway. Pipefan (talk) 13:09, 19 March 2020 (UTC)

Moving pages

Hi. Please use the "Move" function found at the top of the page instead of copy-pasting from another page. This is to preserve the edit history of the page. If you're unable to correctly move a page or unsure of what to do, please contact an admin on their talk page. Thanks. — Ruixiang95 09:34, 22 March 2020 (UTC)

If you are unable to move a page (such as due to another page already existing at the title you want to use), then there is a good reason for this. Instead, you should contact a staff member and request they make the pagemove. Trying to work around the software's constraints won't work (at least, not without the powers that administrators have). --SnorlaxMonster 09:39, 22 March 2020 (UTC)

Island Challenge Amulet

I have a question about the last sentence of Trivia you put on Island Challenge Amulet. From what I see, this card can't be used for a "specific combo in Japanese tournaments with the help of this card that dwindled the opponent's hand up to no cards on their first turn", as it has no direct effect on the opponent's hand. There are no specifics on every card banned in the source you provided, just one phrase "Most of these card bans are an attempt to weaken strategies that involve disrupting or destroying an opponent's hand", which implies some of them aren't. I did not find specific strategy mentioned, but other cards I saw with this trivia had simple discard-the-cards effect. Am I missing some possible effect of this card that could lead to a new combo? Itan (talk) 09:06, 24 June 2021 (UTC)

The play was to attach this card to Jirachi-EX and have it knocked out to decrease the number of cards the opponent would get with Reset Stamp, as well allowing to use Lt. Surge's Strategy in the second turn. Pipefan (talk) 02:14, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
Prize cards trick, I see. Alright, thanks for explaining it. Itan (talk) 13:14, 9 July 2021 (UTC)

Series

Thanks for adding the info about the new way Tools are handled in the card game. I have just one quick note, "Series" is treated as a proper noun when referencing the TCG, so "Scarlet & Violet Series" would be the way to go! MaverickNate 11:38, 10 December 2022 (UTC)
