Trivia

  • Although this Pokémon is level 28, Venonat does not evolve into Venomoth until level 31.
  • Early prints of the Unlimited Holofoil version were printed without the Jungle set symbol. This error was corrected later in the print run.

Origin

Shift's Japanese name is that of Color Change, an Ability introduced in the Generation III Pokémon games that Venomoth cannot have. Venom Powder's Japanese name is that of Shield Dust, an Ability introduced in the Generation III Pokémon games that Venomoth can have. This card's English Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue, though it is slightly reworded. The Japanese entry comes from Pokémon Red and Green.
