Information

Base Set 2 is the name given to the fourth main expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. It does not have a main expansion as a Japanese equivalent. It is based on Pokémon Red and Blue, featuring Generation I Pokémon. It was released on February 24, 2000. Base Set 2 is composed of reprints of the Base Set and Jungle expansions.

Base Set 2 was the first expansion to use the Galaxy Star Holofoil.
