Normalium Z (Japanese: ノーマルＺ Normal Z) is a type of Z-Crystal introduced in Pokémon Sun and Moon. It is the type-specific Z-Crystal associated with the Normal type and allows Pokémon to upgrade their Normal-type moves to Z-Moves.
In the core series games

Can create Normalium Z held items for the player's Pokémon.
Allows the holder to upgrade its
Normal-type damaging moves to the Z-Move Breakneck Blitz or upgrade its Normal-type status moves into Z-Moves.
Unaffected by item negating effects (such as
Embargo and Klutz). Item manipulating effects (such as Trick and Fling) cannot remove a Z-Crystal from a Pokémon.
Rayquaza cannot Mega Evolve if it holds a Z-Crystal.
Outside of battle
A held Normalium Z is automatically removed if the Pokémon is
traded between players.

Acquisition In the anime
A Normalium Z in the
anime Ash obtained a Normalium Z from a Totem Gumshoos after completing the Verdant Cavern trial in . He and To Top a Totem! Pikachu first used it to perform Breakneck Blitz in . In Trial and Tribulation! , the Beauty is Only Crystal Deep! Ultra Guardians used it, along with Ash's Grassium Z, Rockium Z, Solganium Z, and Steelium Z, and Lillie's Icium Z, as bait for a Pheromosa.
Gladion was revealed to have obtained a Normalium Z in , and he and The Prism Between Light and Darkness! Silvally used it to perform Breakneck Blitz while attacking Necrozma.
A full set of
type-specific Z-Crystals, including the Normalium Z, appeared in , where A Grand Debut! Hapu allowed Ash to choose his grand trial prize from them.
A full set of replicas of the type-specific Z-Crystals, including Normalium Z, appeared in
