Steelium Z (Japanese: ハガネＺ Steel Z) is a type of Z-Crystal introduced in Pokémon Sun and Moon. It is the type-specific Z-Crystal associated with the Steel type and allows Pokémon to upgrade their Steel-type moves to Z-Moves.

Can create Steelium Z held items for the player's Pokémon.
Allows the holder to upgrade its
Steel-type damaging moves to the Z-Move Corkscrew Crash or upgrade its Steel-type status moves into Z-Moves.
Unaffected by item negating effects (such as
Embargo and Klutz). Item manipulating effects (such as Trick and Fling) cannot remove a Z-Crystal from a Pokémon.
Multitype changes an Arceus holding this item to its Steel-type form. Rayquaza cannot Mega Evolve if it holds a Z-Crystal.
Outside of battle
A held Steelium Z is automatically removed if the Pokémon is
traded between players.

Ash let Pikachu make the choice, and he chose the Steelium Z. In , the Beauty is Only Crystal Deep! Ultra Guardians used it, along with Ash's Grassium Z, Normalium Z, Solganium Z, and Rockium Z, and Lillie's Icium Z, as bait for a Pheromosa.
Another Steelium Z appeared in
, where it was one of the Z-Crystals stolen by a Beauty is Only Crystal Deep! Pheromosa.
