The Metagrossite (Japanese: メタグロスナイト Metagrossnite) is a type of held item introduced in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. It is the Mega Stone that allows Metagross to Mega Evolve into Mega Metagross.

Effect

In battle

If held by a Metagross, the Metagrossite allows it to Mega Evolve into Mega Metagross if its Trainer has a Key Stone. A Trainer can only Mega Evolve one Pokémon per battle (or only have one Mega-Evolved Pokémon at any given moment^ZA).

As a Mega Stone, it is unaffected by item-negating effects (such as Embargo and Klutz). Item-manipulating effects (such as Trick and Fling) cannot give or remove a Metagrossite from Metagross.

Outside of battle

If held by a Metagross, the Metagrossite allows it to Mega Evolve into Mega Metagross when it performs a Spectacular Talent during a Pokémon Contest Spectacular if its Trainer has a Key Stone. Metagross will remain a Mega Metagross until the Talent Round ends.

Any Pokémon holding a Metagrossite in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire cannot be traded to Pokémon X and Y.

Pokémon Shuffle

In Pokémon Shuffle, the Metagrossite allows the player to Mega Evolve Metagross and Shiny Metagross.

The player can obtain the Metagrossite by defeating Mega Metagross in Stage 500 found on Graucus Hall.

The Metagrossite enables the following Mega Evolutions:
