Aggronite (Japanese: ボスゴドラナイト Bossgodoranite) is a type of held item introduced in Generation VI. It is the Mega Stone that allows Aggron to Mega Evolve into Mega Aggron.

In the core series games
If held by an
Aggron, allows it to Mega Evolve into Mega Aggron if its Trainer has a Key Stone. Each Trainer can only Mega Evolve one Pokémon per battle.
Unaffected by item negating effects (such as
Embargo and Klutz). Item manipulating effects (such as Trick and Fling) cannot give Aggron an Aggronite or remove an Aggronite from Aggron.
Outside of battle
If held by an Aggron, allows it to Mega Evolve into Mega Aggron when it performs a
Spectacular Talent during a Pokémon Contest Spectacular while its Trainer has a Key Stone. Aggron will remain a Mega Aggron until the Talent Round ends.
X Y One variety of the mysterious Mega Stones. Have Aggron hold it, and this stone will enable it to Mega Evolve during battle.
S M US UM One of a variety of mysterious Mega Stones. Have Aggron hold it, and this stone will enable it to Mega Evolve during battle.
Acquisition In spin-off games
Pokémon Shuffle, the Aggronite allows the player to Mega Evolve Aggron.
The player can obtain the Aggronite by defeating Mega Aggron in Stage 550 found on
The Aggronite enables the following Mega Evolutions:
Steel Erases Pokémon and disruptions around three spots you tap.
Erases five tiles in a + shape surrounding each spot. Does not activate if the foe is defeated. Only gives 3 seconds to tap. Can erase fewer than 3.
