Release information
In Japan, this card was one of three cards available as inserts in Volume 20 of Pokémon Card Trainers magazine, released in January 2003. A Cosmos Holofoil version of the English print was one of two cards available in the Value Box, released in October 2006. It was later available in the international versions of the 2007 Spring Collector's Tins, released in March 2007.
Trivia
This was the first Pokémon-ex card released to feature a 2D drawing instead of 3D computer-generated artwork.
Origin
Scratch is a move in the Pokémon games, however, Tyranitar cannot learn it.
