*These were the first wave of Japanese Promotional cards to have a numbering system. Like the English Promotional cards, these featured the familiar black star "PROMO" symbol. Unlike the English cards however, the cards were numbered ##/P ('''P''' for '''Promotional''') instead of just the number, indicating that other Promotional sets could be released (and there were).

The '''P Promotional cards''' are the first series of Japanese promotional cards to have a numbering system. These cards were the first to use the black star "PROMO" symbol featured on English promotional cards. These cards have a ''P'' suffix instead of an overall collection number. This has now become a standard with all numbered Japanese promotional sets, the suffix often changing with a new series in the [[Pokémon Trading Card Game]].

Cards in set 47
Release period July 2001 - July 2002

The P Promotional cards are the first series of Japanese promotional cards to have a numbering system. These cards were the first to use the black star "PROMO" symbol featured on English promotional cards. These cards have a P suffix instead of an overall collection number. This has now become a standard with all numbered Japanese promotional sets, the suffix often changing with a new series in the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
