Sacred Fire (Japanese: せいなるほのお Sacred Fire) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation II. It is Ho-Oh's signature move. Unlike most moves that can cause status problems, this move has a 50% chance of burning the opponent, as opposed to the usual 10%-30%.

Effect

Sacred Fire will, if the user is frozen, heal its condition, and then inflict damage on the target. It is one of only two moves to do so, the other being Flame Wheel. It also has a 50% chance of burning the target.
