Notability of Ride Pokémon

Alright, this has been on my mind ever since opening was re-opened to the public and I'd like input from others. Are Ride Pokemon notable enough for their own articles? Yes, Charizard and Lapras are owned by Kiawe and Lana, but it seems that they aren't really considered full members of their teams. Heck, Lana keeps Lapras at her house instead of in a Poke Ball or something. We always give articles to a Pokemon owned by a main character, but I have to point out that SM isn't like the series that came before it. Ash isn't on an adventure (at least not yet), and the total number of classmates is far higher than any of his permanent traveling companions. Because of this, I question the point of giving Charizard its own article, when it hasn't actually done anything as of yet. He didn't even use it against Team Skull. Turtonator I'm fine with because it seems to be his main battler, and is the more focused of his known Pokemon as evidenced by its Z-Move and placement with Kiawe in the opening and ending. I'm fine with it getting one if it does something in the near future, but for now I feel it's too early. Any thoughts on this? Ataro (talk) 20:51, 4 December 2016 (UTC)

As I said earlier, I also agree this is too soon to create a page for these yet. -Tyler53841 (talk) 19:19, 5 December 2016 (UTC)
I think for the moment, we should treat Kiawe and Lana, and any of the other captains and kahunas, the same way we do Gym Leaders and Elite 4 members, only their signature Pokemon get articles.--ForceFire 04:24, 6 December 2016 (UTC)
I support this as well. As SM006 proves, there's no concrete guarantee that any of Ash's friends in Alola will appear in any given episode, much less their Pokémon. - Chosen of Mana 20:19, 11 December 2016 (UTC)
Well if Lana's Lapras doesn't have a page neither should Charazard. We have to do it one way or another, but not both ways. Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 16:19, 15 December 2016 (UTC)
Extremely agree. I don't think Charizard is a main Pokemon for Kiawe as he actually used Turtonator only and the most main point is - does he actually own Charizard? KyleRGiggs 06:40, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
Charazard is probably a family Ride Pokémon like Lapras, so he isn't lying when he says "my Charazard" but I feel like it probably belongs to his dad or somone. Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 08:51, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
The approach that Force Fire suggested would be an appropriate approach to take moving forward. Signature Pokémon are the only ones guaranteed to get articles for now. This is subject to change based on how things go as the series progresses. --Pokemaster97 23:52, 24 December 2016 (UTC)

Charizard

Kiawe was shown to keep it in a Poke Ball in SM042. Can it least be added under on hand, seeing as he does have it in its Poke Ball when he isn't using it? Playerking95 (talk) 20:39, 14 September 2017 (UTC)

Kiawe's Charizard

This may have been discussed before but I wanted to share my opinion as well. As of now it's confirmed that Charizard belongs to Kiawe. Despite being used more as an way of transportation rather than in a battle, it has appeared in many episodes since it's debut. So, I guess it would be fair for it to have it's own article, or at least to be under the "On hand" section. Because placing it under "Ride Pokemon", kinda shows out that Charizard is just a temporary Pokemon like all other Poke Riders used. They even showed a background of how Kiawe captured it (given) so it has a story. If Misty's Luvdisc could get it's own article, so should Charizard. - unsigned comment from Riox-Ibui (talkcontribs)

It should of had this a long time ago. I don't know why we are so insistent on shoving it off to the side.--Pikablu (talk) 13:59, 15 September 2017 (UTC)

I think it's time to Charizard have your own page. --Lockheedpryde (talk) 18:11, 21 September 2017 (UTC)

Charizard's Page, again

It has even used a Z-Move now... it deserves its own page now (it has deserved for a long time anyway) like Kiawe's other Pokémon. The legendary PkmnTrainerV is Here! (talk) 11:26, 3 February 2019 (UTC)

A page is being worked on User:Playerking95/Kiawe's Poké Ride Charizard--BigDocFan (talk) 11:30, 3 February 2019 (UTC)

Poni Trial

Should we add Poni Grand Trial under Kiawe's achievements? The whole thing felt like a trial and at the end, he did earn a Z-Crystal from Tapu Fini itself! (Rioxイブイ 12:35, 3 February 2019 (UTC))
