Welcome to Bulbapedia, Cinday123!
Bulbapedia bulb.png

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Greeting

Please stop greeting people, this is not what talk pages are for. Please read the talk page policy for more information. There is a reason we have the forums. The above comment is supported by Spyspotter. 01:12, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

OK! Cinday123 (talk) 01:33, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

Userspace policy

Please note that, according to the userspace policy, you are not allowed to edit other people's userspaces as you did on Relicant's. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 22:42, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

What? OK! I will stop it, and are you admin? Cinday123 (talk) 22:53, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

And one more thing, I still edit pages to fix problems and change generations, thanks people! Cinday123 (talk) 23:02, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

I'm not a staff member, but you can see who is on this page. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 23:11, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
OK, for example, SnorlaxMonster is a staff member. Cinday123 (talk) 23:13, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Thanks! --- poikins 07:44, 23 November 2013 (UTC)

OK. Cinday123 (talk) 08:02, 23 November 2013 (UTC)
Please remember to use the Preview Button, or to edit the whole page instead of sections at a time. You've edited TCG move errors ten times already. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 02:47, 23 January 2014 (UTC)
I did use the preview button Funktastic. --Cinday123 (Talk) 02:49, 23 January 2014 (UTC)
And I did edited the whole page, so I won't do it anymore. --Cinday123 (Talk) 02:55, 23 January 2014 (UTC)

Userspace limits

Hi. I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot recently. Please don't do it any more, though. Bulbapedia's Userspace policy restricts the amount you can edit your userpage: no more than three edits per day and make sure you contribute to our mainspace more than your userspace. This policy was instated to promote people helping out in the mainspace, and also to control strain on our server. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal userpage. The more often you edit in the mainspace, the more you will be allowed to edit your userpage. Thanks! --レシイラムtalk 07:03, 5 December 2013 (UTC)

Yes Reshii, OK, I will edit main spaces thanks. Cinday123 (talk) 07:11, 5 December 2013 (UTC)

List of shared species names

Hello. I noticed that you attempted to move the List of Shared Species names into the mainspace. However you should not be moving articles into the mainspace without admin approval, and especially when there's been no discussion. Please do not do this again. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 05:33, 12 December 2013 (UTC)

OK, there might be a little problem, thanks! Cinday123 (talk) 05:33, 12 December 2013 (UTC)

Fairy type

I don't think you should be changing the Pokémon's type on the templates like that. Silver's Snubble was a Normal type during it's arc, so it should stay as a Normal type on the template. (see here) レシイラムtalk 09:50, 27 December 2013 (UTC)

That's because we have a new type Fairy and some Pokémon gains that type and a few lost the type Normal to include the new type. Cinday123 (Talk) 09:53, 27 December 2013 (UTC)
Yes I'm aware of that, what I'm saying is that the Fairy type didn't exist at the time those Pokémon were on air, therefore, they aren't Fairy types (even though their species are now Fairy types), so you should not be changing those templates. レシイラムtalk 10:02, 27 December 2013 (UTC)
Of course they were Normal-types and pure types at the time they were in anime prior to the introduction of Fairy-types. Cinday123 (Talk) 10:12, 27 December 2013 (UTC)
What Reshii means is that Pokémon [whose type was retcon] that were caught prior to Gen VI are not Fairy type due to the type not existing at the time of their capture.--ForceFire 12:10, 27 December 2013 (UTC)

Fairy Gem

Is there some form of proof that this exists? Has someone managed to hack one into the game? --V4Victini (talk) 23:03, 24 January 2014 (UTC)

Maybe somewhat yes, Fairy Gem does exist but not without by hacking because only Normal Gem can be obtained in Terminus Cave and the rest of the gems cannot be obtained without hacking. --Cinday123 (Talk) 23:13, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
That doesn't sound like proof of a Fairy Gem. --Wynd Fox 23:20, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
Well it's in the coding so it still exists but unobtainable. --Cinday123 (Talk) 23:28, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
But how was it proven to be in the code? X and Y haven't been hacked, have they? --Wynd Fox 23:37, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
It has been proven it's at least an intended item. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 23:59, 24 January 2014 (UTC)

Urm...

You can't go around threatening users with a block for poor grammar. 1) poor grammar isn't enough to block for unless it's kept up repeatedly after several warnings 2) 2 edits isn't anywhere near enough to give a warning over 3) you're not an admin so you can't threaten users with blocks. Please don't make these threats to users. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 23:00, 14 February 2014 (UTC)

I knew it, I'll contact a staff member who's around Solar Dragon. --Cinday123 (Talk) 23:02, 14 February 2014 (UTC)
Also, I'm not a staff member, you can check this page who's the staff member. --Cinday123 (Talk) 23:04, 14 February 2014 (UTC)
Staff don't need to be bothered about someone who made 2 edits which were undone with poor grammar. It happens on every wiki at some point. *EDIT CONFLICT* Yes, I know you're not a staff member. I never said you were. I never even implied you were. I've been on Bulbapedia for over 5 years. I know most of the names of the admins and the coloured Poké Balls and names give them away too. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 23:06, 14 February 2014 (UTC)
I know, I've barely been on Bulbapedia since I was created fixing mistakes, and after a long break, I came back to improve edits and replacing Pokémon sprites with artwork except for their pages with sprite sections. --Cinday123 (Talk) 23:11, 14 February 2014 (UTC)
Well, if you know, why did you just bother a staff member with something both minor and resolved? ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 23:12, 14 February 2014 (UTC)
Yes, I'll have to wait if it continues, but there is no sight of a new user. --Cinday123 (Talk) 23:14, 14 February 2014 (UTC)
Because I don't want to flood Pokemaster's talk page with this, I don't think you understand what I am trying to tell you. A month ago when you attempted to warn me over something, I told you to not do that. Now, just half an hour ago, you did the same to a new user, and then claim you did nothing of the sort. You are not staff, do not act like it to other users, and do not claim you didn't leave a message that is still on someone's talk page with your signature. Schiffy (瀬藤健二) (Talk Contribs) 23:31,2/14/2014 (UTC)
OK, I won't flood a user's page, so think about Carbink and Diancie. --Cinday123 (Talk) 23:32, 14 February 2014 (UTC)
That has nothing to do with this. You are not listening at all. I am not talking about Diancie and Carbink right now. I am talking about you issuing false warnings, which you still did despite being told to stop. Do not ignore this issue, and do not deny it. Schiffy (瀬藤健二) (Talk Contribs) 23:35,2/14/2014 (UTC)
Alright, I'm not ignoring it and I'm not denying it for issuing false warnings, and I was trying to listen to everyone else. --Cinday123 (Talk) 23:38, 14 February 2014 (UTC)
Cindy, I really suggest that you review both the manual of style, as well as the Warning policy before attempting to issue any more warnings. The user you spoke to about the poor edits were new and had only made two edits, so a warning was uncalled for in that case. Do not threaten users with blocks since you're not staff and that's not your call to make. The staff will be removing any warnings that we don't deem fit in the future. --Pokemaster97 01:53, 15 February 2014 (UTC)
Yes, Pokemaster97, you have to remove it, I don't need to warn users anymore, and I'm not a staff member at all. --Cinday123 (Talk) 02:00, 15 February 2014 (UTC)

Pokemon Biologies

Hello! I see you've been doing some biology edits. When changing old bios over to the new format, please do not merely remove the headers and combine the sections. Doing so makes it difficult to keep track of which bios have been properly updated and which haven't. The revamp project involves a lot more than that. It is actually a complete rewrite of the sections and everything mentioned must be fact-checked and referenced properly. If you would like to help, you can find more specific instructions here. Thanks! Crystal Talian 05:50, 15 February 2014 (UTC)

Yes Crystal, all I have to do is to do step one of your biology project so and add some features, so I won't combine the sections and have it as separate paragraphs. --Cinday123 (Talk) 05:57, 15 February 2014 (UTC)
Please don't make an edit unless you do all of the five steps. Again, this makes it difficult to keep up with what's properly updated and what's not. If you can't do all five steps, it's really better to leave it as it is. Thanks! Crystal Talian 06:02, 15 February 2014 (UTC)
I know Crystal, it's so hard to do all five steps of your biology project which is difficult. --Cinday123 (Talk) 06:06, 15 February 2014 (UTC)

Attitude

Please do not tell other users what to do. They can do whatever they want to do with their userpage/talkpage/whatever, as it is their personal page not yours. So don't go around demanding they do what you want them to do, as it is extremely rude. Thank you for reading.--ForceFire 04:57, 17 February 2014 (UTC)

Yes Force Fire, I might have to request to protect the Favorite Fairy template. --Cinday123 (Talk) 05:00, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
You missed the point. That is not what I'm talking about. You can request that pages be protected or moved, but you cannot force or demand that other users do what you want them to do.--ForceFire 05:06, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
Oh, thanks Force Fire, I might have to discuss about Pokémon-related later on. --Cinday123 (Talk) 05:12, 17 February 2014 (UTC)

Pokemon Info

Hi! I see you've been adding catch rates and base friendship to the Pokemon infoboxes. Could you please tell me where you're getting this information from? Thanks! Crystal Talian 05:13, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

I did it all by myself so it was confirmed. --Cinday123 (Talk) 05:14, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
How are you testing it, though? What method? Crystal Talian 05:19, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
A certain website, that's what I'm testing catch rates and base friendships. --Cinday123 (Talk) 05:21, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
Unless the website you're using is an official Pokemon website, we can't use that information. Crystal Talian 05:22, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
So all of it were not confirmed Crystal, we have to wait until an official Pokémon website confirmed catch rates, base friendship and other information except for Sylveon which all of its information confirmed because it's related to Eevee. --Cinday123 (Talk) 05:25, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

Nothing can be added to the site unless its from an official Pokemon website or extracted directly from the game in a way that others can replicate. Crystal Talian 05:31, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

Oh, thanks to Force Fire and the other user, I reverted some edits and some information were not confirmed. --Cinday123 (Talk) 05:38, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
At the bottom of every page you edit in large red letters it reads "Do not submit the work of others without permission." - this of course includes all non-official websites. It's a policy that is taken very seriously here and has been a problem in the past. Schiffy (瀬藤健二) (Talk Contribs) 05:45,2/20/2014 (UTC)
Oh thank you, I just reverted some edits, thanks, that was not confirmed. --Cinday123 (Talk) 05:46, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
Cinday, can you tell me what website you used? If you refuse to tell, it may be grounds for a block since we can only assume its unconfirmed and unofficial. Crystal Talian 05:49, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
Serebii, I'm sorry I won't violet it again. --Cinday123 (Talk) 05:50, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

A small note about welcome messages

Just a small word of advice, usually when you leave a welcome message, one of the better things to do first is to check the edit(s) that the person made. If it looks like a vandal edit or something clearly stupid (like this person), it's usually better to not leave one, since chances are, they're going to be blocked and their talk page deleted anyway. If anything, it's just a waste of a few seconds on your end. (I mean, if you want to, go ahead, but it's usually not worth it). Schiffy (瀬藤健二) (Talk Contribs) 03:47, 2/23/2014 (UTC)

Oh, someone got blocked already so I won't need to welcome the vandals, so I have to check edits first before get reverted by an user. --Cinday123 (Talk) 03:50, 23 February 2014 (UTC)
To note, this isn't a rule or anything of the sort. It's just a friendly word of advice from something I've noticed from these fools of users who turn out to be nothing more than vandals. Schiffy (瀬藤健二) (Talk Contribs) 03:57, 2/23/2014 (UTC)
Yes, it's not a rule, thanks Schiffy, I might have to double check the edits again. --Cinday123 (Talk) 04:00, 23 February 2014 (UTC)

Galleries

That page only had 9 images on the page but that wasn't too many to make the page crash. There are limits of the page and info it can have. If it was more, then it would be good to make a subpage for a gallery page for the article.--Brandondorf9999 (talk) 00:21, 8 March 2014 (UTC)

Oh, but editing the same page clogs up the recent changes so just make sure you don't edit the same page too many times. --Cinday123 (Talk) 00:24, 8 March 2014 (UTC)
And since Funktastic protected that page and someone removed the images, there's no way to add the images back. --Cinday123 (Talk) 00:35, 8 March 2014 (UTC)

Reason

The reason is the covers have artwork of the pokemon, which coincides with the official artwork of the pokemon. Ellis99 (talk) 10:36, 18 April 2014 (UTC)

And I prefer generational sprites so that depends on the generation so that's all. --Cinday123 (Talk) 10:38, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
Opps, changed my mind, it would be better to use artwork. --Cinday123 (Talk) 10:55, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
I see you agreed with me. Happy you did. Ellis99 (talk) 11:31, 11 December 2014 (UTC)
