Cotton Spore (Japanese: わたほうし Cotton Spore) is a non-damaging Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation II.
Effect
Generation II to IV
Cotton Spore lowers the target's Speed stat by two stat levels, and has an Accuracy of 85. It will fail if the target's Speed stat has reached a stat level of -6 or a value of 1, if the target has a Substitute, or is under the effect of Mist.
Generation V
The Accuracy of Cotton Spore is increased to 100.
