In Japan, this card was released as a promotional card with artwork by Atsuko Nishida in the August 1998 CoroCoro Comic, along with Lt. Surge's Electabuzz. It was reprinted in the Japanese Tamamushi City Gym Theme Deck with artwork by Ken Sugimori. This print was released in English in the Gym Heroes expansion, previously released in the Leaders' Stadium expansion in Japan.
